“I wish the weather had been better as I was unable to avail myself to kayaking and evening entertainment. Room was small but cozy and rustic, lots of wood and evocative of summer camping in lakeside cabins. Very old time style of check-in, and the desk is not staffed late at night.”

“The staffs are very friendly. The room is decent and the lake view is great! Vending machines are old and not working properly.”

“The family above our room was banging on the floor and yelling ALL night and we couldn’t sleep. Tried calling the office and left a voicemail but no call back nor did they speak to family. Had to blast the A/C and TV to try and get sleep. When I checked out the following morning all they said was, “sorry”. Will not go back. Poor customer service”

“The front desk staff were professional, friendly and efficient. My only small complaint is about the room not being well vacuumed ( I saw nail clippings by the garbage can and hair on the bathroom floor). Towels were soft and clean. The bed and pillows were lovely!!”

“The only places to stay around Glimmerglass are these small motels. This was a lovely surprise. The room was very clean and the owner is so nice. There is a nice backyard to this place that has a pavilion, a fireplace and games. Very family oriented.”

“I rated everything as terrible because the motel canceled my reservation without telling me. Most likely because I had a cheaper price through expedia. The woman at the desk told me that they do not use any reservation site for bookings, they only book people who call the motel directly. I was left out in the cold. I asked for help in possibly finding a room and was told to drive 5 miles down the road to the grocery store and use an ad book there. I was extremely lucky that I knew someone...

“We loved staying in this big old mansion and appreciating how they built them in the old days. Jim and Susie are warm, friendly and accommodating hosts. The breakfast each morning was tasty and delicious. We got to really appreciate how nice Cherry Valley was when we went downtown to Cooperstown one night. What a horrible tourist town. It was nice to get back to Cherry Valley. We were there for the Glimmerglass festival which is very close and only a few minutes away.”
