"My stay at Blue Reef was nothing short of magical. I truly felt like I was home and by the end of my visit, the staff felt like my extended family. They remembered me, cared for me, and made me feel genuinely special through the smallest, most meaningful gestures from offering me fresh passion fruit when I simply asked to take a photo of it, to inviting me behind the bar to show me how their fresh juice is made. The sunrises and sunsets were absolutely breathtaking some of the most beautiful moments I experienced in Zanzibar. One of the highlights of my stay was requesting an off-menu dish: ugali. The chef personally came out to ask how I liked the meal, which turned out to be the most delicious food I’ve had since arriving in Tanzania. My time in Zanzibar and especially at Blue Reef was pure magic. I’m beyond grateful for the warmth, hospitality, and unforgettable memories, and I cannot wait to return with my family."

"There is nothing to fault. Staff were amazing, food was delicious. The hotel was tranquil and very restorative. The beach was beautiful. All amenities were great, but the staff, they stood out, they were truly wonderful. Thank you to everyone. "

"I stayed for 7 nights and found the room comfortable. The premises are beautifully maintained, especially the pool and gardens, and the property is very clean throughout. The staff are extremely friendly and approachable—Julius in particular is a real star: a young man always willing to help. Negative points: There is no ATM on site, and reception cannot always break large notes, which made tipping staff difficult. As a result, I wasn’t able to tip as much as I would have liked. Basic amenities such as hair conditioner had to be requested almost daily. TV has basic channels only and was not working properly. Also internet is fast but losing signal quiet often due to electrical faults within the property. The food offers plenty of variety but does not quite meet a 5-star standard. Alcoholic drinks and bottled water are also not included in the package. Overall, I still recommend visiting this beautiful venue by the sea, especially for its peaceful setting and private beach. I will be back for sure!"

The hotel also offers a trolley service to the beach, and for other destinations, transportation is available for a small fee, which was very convenient. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. I appreciated the laundry service, enjoyed spending time by the pool, and felt well taken care of throughout my stay. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a DJ, which created a great first impression and set the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. "Good standard of cleanliness in rooms, beds turned down every night, as well as spraying with repellant every evening. All team were super friendly, especially Joyce, Generozza, Happiness- all first class. Pascal-head chef, always wanted feedback to ensure all food met expectations- which was varied, fr3sh and really tasty. Would highly recommend and would certainly think about coming back."
