“Small but clean room and en suite shower room. Was a little noisy from the main road with the window open but fine at night when closed. The charging sockets were useful and the host was really helpful, letting me borrow a hairdryer. Parking was easy around the back of the property and access was convenient through the side entrance. Perfect for my needs this weekend and good value.”

Breakfast was okay, but would've like to have seen a selection of mini cakes/biscuits and fresh fruits to the selection, just to give more of a variety and also some fresh juice in addition to the cordial, tea and coffee on offer.

“One night stay was good for what we needed just very dusty , cobwebs everywhere , dust in the air vent in the bathroom , cracks and screws hanging out.

“We had a wonderful stay at The View. The room was lovely, very spacious and overlooked the rolling hills, plus it was quiet. The staff were very friendly and attentive and breakfast was delicious and all cooked and prepared to order. We had one evening meal at the pub itself which again, we couldn’t fault. There is so much to do around the area and we will definitely be going back. A true gem of a find!”

“The Devonshire arms in baslow was a very quaint and beautifully decorated in for us to stay. It encapsulated the English countryside vibe that we were going for. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food in both the restaurant and pub area was excellent. We absolutely loved being there, and glad we were there for three nights. “Lovely hotel in a beautiful spot on the Chatsworth Estate. Had a gorgeous room with a super comfy bed. Dinner on the terrace was delicious and very cozy. We were lucky with the weather so really nice to have some patio time. Would definitely stay there again ”
