โAlthough the room was very clean it was a little tired. The staff were very friendly and helpful, couldnt do enough for you. We had an evening meal and also the continental breakfast both of which were excellent. Would definitely stay here againโ
โReally friendly staff and a great location for a business trip. Breakfast was spot on, and the room (and bathroom) were both a decent size. Only downside was that the dรฉcor in the rooms and corridors felt a little dated. I had two single beds in my room, but I was aware of that before booking โ would be nice if the reduced rates applied to doubles as well.โ
โSpent two nights as a couple with a small dog. Totally relaxing break on the banks of the River Trent. Stayed in one of the adjacent cottages (no 14). Excellent. Only niggles were that although the bathroom had been recently refurbished, the extractor fan was not working and there was nowhere to hang a towel. Bathroom had the best shower I have ever used. Talk about a whoosh!
We ate both nights in the restaurant. It had a limited menu, but the food was good. Food and drinks reasonably priced....

Blue badge parking, disapointing, only 2 places, then there is no lift from the car park, which is directly beneath reception. In stead, you have to walk outside, up and around to enter. Ok when it is dry.โ
โGreat grade II listed building with stunning lobby and stairwell area. Nicely presented room with all the finishes expected of a 4* hotel. Pleasant staff and a good breakfast offering.
The price was very reasonable and in a great central locationโ
