โSpent two nights as a couple with a small dog. Totally relaxing break on the banks of the River Trent. Stayed in one of the adjacent cottages (no 14). Excellent. Only niggles were that although the bathroom had been recently refurbished, the extractor fan was not working and there was nowhere to hang a towel. Bathroom had the best shower I have ever used. Talk about a whoosh!
We ate both nights in the restaurant. It had a limited menu, but the food was good. Food and drinks reasonably priced....

If I had to be pushed Iโd say the cleaning staff need to be more guest friendly. โ
โReally friendly staff and a great location for a business trip. Breakfast was spot on, and the room (and bathroom) were both a decent size. Only downside was that the dรฉcor in the rooms and corridors felt a little dated. I had two single beds in my room, but I was aware of that before booking โ would be nice if the reduced rates applied to doubles as well.โ
โWe booked the hotel when air traffic control issues led to our flight from a different airport being cancelled. The property was clean, comfortable and very close to East Midlands Airport. We had a very early flight so the location was key. โ
