“Very friendly staff who made us most welcome. The meals were excellent. particularly breakfast. The bar was kept open, at our request, on Sunday evening so we could meet the family of the deceased before the funeral. A very important and emotional gathering of old friends.”

“A lovely three night stay at Downton Lodge. Martin and Andrew are excellent hosts who ensure that they run a guest house with very high standards. Lots of details have been considered to provide everything one might need whilst away from home. Breakfast is cooked very well with high quality ingredients, and the hosts known the area in depth so that they can advise their guests of what to do and see. Overall, an excellent stay.”
