“Hotel is in a great location with the most spectacular views across the bay. It’s comfortable and the interior is well maintained. The exterior and gardens need some love. Food is plentiful and staff were very helpful and friendly.”

“The room was clean, the bed very comfortable, the fan provided was barely adequate, (oh for some air conditioning). The receptionist was rather abrupt, & the parking was rather hit & miss. The bar was very comfortable & the staff there pleasant. The restaurant airy & the staff pleasant. Food good. Overall stay was quite pleasant.”

“Newly built hotel with modern very clean design. Rooms with sea view have a spectacular view. Great location on bus route around Torbay. Breakfast and dinner of good standard. Staff are very efficient, attentive and pleasant. One thing to note is the £15 per day car parking fee.”

“Wonderful one night stay. Huge beautiful room, air conditioning was a bonus in this heat. Loved using the spa facilities and outdoor pool. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Excellent breakfast.”

“I really liked this hotel, it was our second visit but, they completely messed up our dinner. We pre ordered the roast pork but, unfortunately they ran out! We ended up with ham, egg and chips which was laughable, the ham looked like thinly sliced spam, the egg was overcooked and we had a few oven chips! It was so bad we got up and walked out, which i have never done before and I’m 67! I have emailed the hotel but, no reply! We won’t be going back!”

“Awful.. Small boat visitors accommodation! This Awful place is like a hotel for immigrants, though they probably lost their licence due to it infringing their human welfare rights! They have squeezed as many rooms as possible in the space, with corridors like a rat run that you can barely walk through! Rooms are small smelly and hot, the toilets are in barely enough space to fit an average bum on? (no good for Americans) There is not enough water pressure for the shower to work.. And a shelf...

“This is by far the best place we have stayed! It's perfectly located with stunning views of the harbour, we had an incredible balcony room with breathtaking views that made our 1st Wedding Anniversary trip really special. The private parking was such a bonus. Such attention to detail in everything, we came away with things we want to buy for our own home to make it more like Beacon House. Now the breakfast, Oh my god the breakfast, every mouthful was just exquisite, from the freshly squeezed...

“Had a lovely night away. Room was clean and nice to have a fridge with fresh milk for coffee etc. Breakfast was delicious and lots of choice. Outside areas are great for relaxing and nice to have an outside pool. In a quiet area but within walking distance to the beach, train station and town. Great hosts. Would definitely recommend.
