“We stayed for almost a week and everyone was very friendly. Romona was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating to us when we needed something. Can’t say the same for the staff at the front desk the ladies were not much of a help and didn’t take the extra steps to accommodate us when we needed something. Other than that I’d definitely go back again! The beach was absolutely incredible!!!!! ”

“The property was beautiful. The people were very nice, but the air conditioning didn’t work very well and we were damp the entire week. There was nowhere we could go where it wasn’t damp clothes and towels never dried.”

“Second time at this resort staying at the Royal, last was May 2019. Overall the resort met our expectations except for the restaurants. The quality of the evening dining options has dropped significantly, where most dinners were hardly edible leaving us no option but to grab something at a buffet. We are not picky eaters but flavorless, poorly prepared meals just are not exceptable. This is a very nice resort but this may have been our last visit unfortunately. ”

“This property is very unique. It is located in a very busy area of La Romana. The word "Oasis" is exactly the right word for this hotel. It was a clean, very well designed hotel with a beautiful mural that you might miss if you were just driving through. But the best part was the staff. Everyone, from the owner, the manager and even people working on the building of their soon to be opened pool, treated me like I was a guest in their home. “Went last week of April, so some rain. Ocean was great, with great snorkling right off the shore. We saw a flounder, rays, pufferfish, lobsters, plus reef fish. Coral is growing but looks young. Loved the excursions with viva, they had tour guides that spoke multiple languages. Staff was friendly. Room was basic but the grounds were beautiful with ducks, birds, and igunanas. Food was adequate but lacked flavor. Yes I would go again.”

“We were impressed by this place. I have been to many resorts (expensive ones) and can honestly say this is the cleanest one. This place smells wonderfully, very attentive, respectful staff. I highly recommend. It's really quiet but so convenient and located. Shout out to the server captain (don't remember his name) he from Santiago at kuka restaurant for his amazing service.”

“Property was well kept albeit a bit simple, but a good value for the price. Food is ordinary, but ok for a short stay. 10-15 min taxi from the cruise port. Not near the beaches, so if that's your thing, look elsewhere. Also helps to be bilingual .”
