“Perfect place to stay if you’re in the area. We had a twin room, which was a good size and had a full bath tub with soaps, shower gels and shampoo. Tea/coffee making facilities and free bottled water. The rooms are attached to wonderful pub, the staff are super friendly and the food served there is excellent. Definitely make a bee line for the roast lamb if you’re there on a Sunday. Plenty of choice for breakfast. My only wish would be the option to have a hot breakfast, but for the price of the...

“Absolutely loved our weekend at the Dower House! Amazing location surrounded by nature, the building is so beautiful and our room was huge and had every comfort. All the things you don't find in chain hotels are here - four poster bed, comfy sofa, coffee table and chairs sat amongst a wonderful backdrop, dark and quiet at night for a great sleep. “Martin and Melanie are lovely hosts. B&B is a short walks from local pubs. The sunday lunch in the George was excellent. Breakfast around the kitchen table with the other guests was a real treat. As was the various fruits from their garden. Easy travel to numerous places including Stourhead and the Fleet Air Arm Museum. Great hosts highly recommended.”
