"A very pleasant stay at “The Carps”. Very pleasant, helpful, friendly staff. The room was very pleasant with a comfortable bed and roomy shower room. The room layout reflects the history of the property with a couple of shallow steps between the bedroom and shower. We stayed for dinner and were rewarded by a tasty meal. A good selection of vegetarian options. Our usual habit of swapping plates half though very much went by the board. Breakfast was very good with both millennial and traditional dinners accounted for. A fantastic place to stay."

"Absolutely wonderful stay. Couldn’t fault anything! The place is stunning, the put is oldie/homely/rustic fab. Staff absolutely lovely, drinks great such a variety, food so delicious and a great variety. Rooms absolutely beautiful loved it. Comfy bed, warm rooms decorated so beautifully. Breakfast was amazing, menu so chose what we wanted but asked for omelette which was not on menu and was told not a problem and anything else you want our lovely hostess said just let her know. Car park huge, park for children. Lots seating. Will definitely return."

"The service of the staff was excellent and car parking is free. However, the plug sockets next to the bed required moving the bedside tables, so if you want to use any electrical devices whilst in bed, you had to use the sockets across the room. The toilet positioned in the room were too close to the wall and the handles to open the windows were loose and call fall out anytime. "

"Comfortable rooms and nice kitchen for tea and breakfast. Grocery store 1 minute walk away. No soap was provided though and there was inadequate lighting in the room."
