I have worked in the travel industry for 37 years and am shocked to find such awful places advertised as hotels in Australia. One of them is an air conditioner, an old type that penetrates the wall, but because the bottom is not straight, there is a large gap through which wind blows in 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and we can hear everything, including the engine noise of a speeding car on the main road right beside us, as well as the sirens of ambulances and police vehicles. Also, this air conditioner is covered in cobwebs and probably hasn't been cleaned for several years, so I have a feeling that the air it blows out contains countless mold spores. Also, when I first entered the shower room, I found several strands of hair lying around. It seems that the room has never been cleaned. There was also several years' worth of dust accumulated on the ventilation fan, so it seems that the room has never been cleaned. Finally, the family diagonally opposite, who seemed to be Indian, did not close the door, and the screams, especially of their children, continued for three consecutive nights until 1 a.m. We requested the receptionist to pay attention to them, but they never stopped.

I went for the F1. It was a 10 min walk to the train station and then a 30 train ride to flinders. The place was confortable for my purpose. The room small, as expected, but had a table, coffee, tea, kettle, cups and the shower worked fantasticly, super hot and with great pressure. Bed confy, towels clean, pillow to soft for me (but that's just me). My only concern was the fact I booked through expedia, as I booked all around the world and never had any issues, but here I found out the property was going to charge my card on file at 6pm on arrival date, I was arriving at 10pm that night, and if payment was not successful they would cancel the booking straight away, no call no nothing. On a race week, you can imagine there were no other places available, and i had booked this place back in December, 3 months ago. What happens if the card fails, what happens if the bank does not authorize the payment? These things can happen and it was horrible to have to fly from Brisbane without knowing if I had a place to stay that night. The receptionist was quite helpful, told me he would hold the booking until 10pm but flight got delayed and got by uber at 10.40pm. The booking was there. However, due to this unnecessary stressful situation I wouldn't stay there the next time. It's a shame.

Limited check in hours. I really needed a place to sleep, so the clean bed and room were welcome. Staff were nice, but the on- off check in was a bit inconvenient. $218 seems expensive for what it is.

Rechercher dans les avis Impossible de dormir, fenêtres qui ne ferment pas bien, ancienne clim qui laisse passer le bruit les portes ne ferment pas bien non plus, pas de prise USB, petit déjeuner a 7:30 un peu tard quand on a les vols de bonne heure. Ibis budget de l'aéroport est totalement insonorisé malgré les avions a 400m, breakfast a 7:00 . Je deconseille fortement le fawkner. Réveillé plusieurs fois dans la nuit. Seul le prix est un peu intéressant. Hôtel vieillot. Nécessiterait une remise au propre. J'y suis venu il y a 5 ans,cela est encore plus dégradé.

As far as budget places to stay this isnt to bad, i wasnt expecting much and it was perfect for what i needed it for. My issue with this property was the poor customer service, a smile on your face goes a long way and it costs nothing. The guy behind the counter that checked me in had some of the worst customer service i have experienced and if he is that miserable doing that job maybe he should quit.

This is not a 2 star hotel. This is more on the level of a hostel and a dirty one at that. There are stains everywhere in the room. Bed linens seem to be clean but overall not a great place to stay

I booked 2 nights for 2 people. Had to add a night on a seperate booking which was fine, so 3 nights all up. I paid for breakfast to be included for us both which was $20 in only one of the bookings. I never used the breakfast facilities on that particular night we left too early. I tried to get breakfast this morning he said no i had to pay because that $20 was on my last booking and its not transferrable. Now my son didnt want to eat so it was only me For a bowl of cereal are you for real? They expected me to pay $30 all up for a bowl of cereal. The first room we had cockroaches come out to greet us at night. The 2nd room absolutely stunk like cigerettes i had to leave the door and window open for a good hour or 2 to get the smell out. Will never book here again. The only good thing I can say positive is all of the staff were super lovely and accomodating.

Cheap Accommodation
The room looked nice and clean but when I walked around in bare feet, there was dirt on the floor and when I picked up something I had dropped there were small black hairs on the floor as well. The room was cold, no blankets only sheets. I had to put the aircon on, and the noise all night kept me awake. Someone knocked on my door at 3.00am, and woke me up. Won't be staying there again.

We liked the price, but unfortunately it did not come up to the standards of the ibis Hotels that we have experienced while travelling in Europe. The cups & cutlery were dirty. Floor was dusty. Only 1 toilet roll. Only single flush on the toilet worked. The shower & toilet cubicle made a constant drumming noise. Could not look out the single window, as it was opaque! Felt like we were in a cupboard!!!!
