“Lovely place to stay the night whilst we were visiting Chatsworth House. Nice and quiet ample parking. The room was really clean and everything we needed was provided even a fan which was a god send as the weather was sweltering. Had a perfect nights sleep. The staff were amazing and extremely friendly both at the reception and in the restaurant. We had both and evening meal and breakfast the food was lovely, hot and well prepared. “A repeat visit for us. The hot spring is excellent (even though the main indoor pool was a hotter than the super-nice temperature on previous occasions), breakfast is good, rooms are comfortable (although aircon was not working well this time and one had to sleep with open windows, it was reasonably quiet), convenient parking nearby”
“Really liked this hotel.Great location, cheap parking nearby, lovely staff and the communal areas smell amazing! The bed was very soft, which I like. I knocked off a star as the room although clean, needs a refresh. Shower tray has seen better days. ”

“Excellent facilities, clean and modern room. The rooms were very warm, even with a fan. I think a thinner duvet for the summer would be a good call. Food in the restaurant was very good however the services was quite poor. Granted it was a busy Saturday night but the services for drinks and ordering food was very slow and we felt forgotten about. We didn’t get asked if we would like to see the dessert menu and if we hadn’t had asked for the bill we would have been waiting all night.

“Lovely nights stay at the Ashford Arms. Comfortable rooms and excellent restaurant serving fabulous food. Nice to have a breakfast menu as opposed to a buffet. Great location in quiet village close to Bakewell. Would stay again if back in Derbyshire.”
