I love how unique this entire hotel is. It has plenty for parents to do as well as children. They are super pet friendly and super welcoming. You have everything in one spot from kids entertainment to a movie theatre to restaurants. They have everything imaginable for your solo trip or your family trip. The soaking pool is my favorite

This is my best habit coming here. I only get to do it once a year, but it's my highlight. My best friend is in a rest home there, and as long as I can continue to drive from Seattle, I'll keep coming back. I'm 81. The only disappointment was no fire in the little sitting room....I'm up early at 6:00 a.m. The coffee was ready and available and I enjoyed that moment of relaxation before I had to leave. Thank you.

This place is really cool. Maybe not the coziest place but definitely really cool. The art history tour was cool and there are secret rooms. If you are a lover of the eclectic, whimsical style. You will like this place. Also it has not big lights which is lovely.

Extremely interesting place to explore. They had a famous rock musician who played keyboards beautifully by two bars in the basement. They had Halloween treats at Pat’s bar outside in the garden. We got bunk beds near restrooms and we slept great. Getting down from a bunk when you are 60 is fun but we didn’t want to share a queen as we are both restless sleepers. My friend said a better bunk ladder would have helped, instead of just using the side to get up and down. No ghost sighting but we didn’t put on our do not disturb so since she (the lavender lady) gives out books, it’s obvious she can read. Takes a while to explore. Loved it. Very unique. Cookie cutter boring people will not enjoy this place. It’s for fun, open, adventurous people. They have a first run movie theater, too. Definitely glad we stayed.

Unigue Interesting Lodge, but plan carefully. In Lodge "quiet calm" bars all close 3-4dys/wk. Outside Pub closed 2dys/wk. Spa closed 2dys/wk Theater closed 2dys/wk. (all on different days) No Amenities No "quiet time" so loud guests have no limits Lodge is very clean and staff all very friendly. It's all about the lodge history and the artwork.

Really cool place to stay. It's not cramped but it is certainly cozy. There are a million things to explore and discover. We loved our room's unique décor and the view from our big bay windows. The soaking pool was fabulous. The spa books out FAST so we definitely should have planned ahead if we wanted a spot there.

A real work of art. Fabulously decorated with old and new regional and international art, posters, artistically painted literary quotations. As an old organizational lodge, it has some quirks which we loved. We had a private bath but next time we'll save a few bucks with the shared bath option, using the lusurious provided robes, also perfect for the hot soak pool ofuro (you can cool off in the hallway shower). Then I strolled down the second floor hallway with a mug of brewed coffee from the lobby, reading an extensive quote from either Joyce's Ulysses or "A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man" never losing my step or spilling coffee. A significantly transcendent experience. Not to scare anyone off, but it was the perfect combination of Hogwarts meets The Shining, if you know shat I mean. Fantastic job by the designers and staff, and owners. Loved it.

The accommodations were very good. One suggestion would be a more comfortable chair in our room. There was a chair but not the best chair to read a book ! The staff was great with information and answering questions. We were sorry Tuesdays seem to have several venues, closed , including the soaking pool, movie theater. The food and drinks were delicious.
