Fantastic 2 nights at Blue Ocean..I didn't expect much was only a short trip 2 days but it exceeded my expectations ..its a great place to stay..Everything you need is in the house or right around the corner on powerline Rd just a 1 minute walk away.. It was great staying and meeting other guest from Columbia South America, Winnipeg, London, Frederick Maryland, Germany.. meeting them was fantastic.. Everyone shares what they have with the house and is glad to do so... A guy that had been there a while Derrick was great in helping new guest get orintated to the house quickly.. Everyone was helpful and respectful.. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone needing a place to stay in Ft. Lauderdale Oakland Park..I will be staying here again myself this spring. Mike the owner is great in texting you with everything you need. 5 stars from me....Knoxville, TN

Flop house for real not even kidding

This place was literally a flop house. I lost $300 because I refused to stay there. My “room” was literally a walk-in closet sized room with a full size bed in it. My friend was supposed to sleep in there too!!!! We wouldn’t have enough had room to even open our suitcases IF we had even brought them in. There was a man in a different room asleep with his door open. When I say it was bad it really was horrendous!!!?we spent the night and half the next day calling and searching for a room because it was New Years Eve weekend and everything was booked. We literally were not in that house more than 5 minutes and said no way and left. We drove for hours trying to find a place to stay and finally found one around 1 pm that next day. The person that owns/manages would not return any of my money. Please do not put yourselves through what I went through. Find a proper place to vacation. 5 rooms for sleeping with who knows who else your renting with....

I like that it was a shared space with others. Other guests were pleasant and respectful. It was a very nice stay! The room was clean and comfortable.

I HAVE STAYED HERE SEVERAL TIMES NOW IN BOTH TENTS AND ROOMS AND I COULD NOT ASK FOR BETTER. BOTH THE OWNER, STAFF AND EVEN FELLOW GUESTS WERE AMAZIMG.

Skulle hyra ett tält med säng i fyra nätter.detta var helt ok för mig och min son.ett annorlunda boende några dagar.vi skulle grilla på kvällen. frågade om grillen gick på gas chefen sa ja.vi åkte och handlade mexikanska grillrätter. senare på kvällen skulle vi grilla öppnar och ser att det är en kolgrill som har stora rost hål i botten och säkert inte varit rengjord på 10år.inne i köket fick man inte använda spisen till matlagning?skulle finnas två cyklar fanns en.vi åkte dan efter.fösökte ringa och checka ut.han svara alldrig !(24/7 service stod det i annonsen) No Refond

Best value for money - quiet place

If you are looking for a place for a temporary stop away from the hustle and bustle of big American cities, here it is. I was coming from France, I was late, I arrived at the end of the evening. The owner kindly waited for me. I rented the little room down the hall. The neighborhood is calm. Very good value for money.

Don't go period ...

The owner of this "guesthouse" ... I have other choice words to describe his property is a RUDE person. If anyone knows the area Prospect and Andrews where this "palace" is located, you're know it's a "seedy" neighborhood. Be aware also of this mandatory "resort fee" of $49.00 ... this place is a "resort" as much as Burger King is a steak house!

Nice place, very cozy. The atmosphere is very laid back. You get to meet the other guests which is different from bigger places. Mike was great, the rooms are comfortable, not luxurious but all I needed for a few nights. Restauarants are 2 min away, and plenty of delivery options. Very clean, very enjoyable. I’m going to stay there again on my next trip to Florida. You should too.

Interesting concept.

My room was cozy (very small) which I expected. It was half an original bedroom in the house. I was woken in the night by the person rustling about in the other half of the original room. You could hear every cough and phone beep. I was cold at the beginning but I had brought some blankets with me and warm at the end but I couldn't get the ceiling fan to work. If it were any hotter, It would have been uncomfortable. I slept on top of the bed anyway because of the plastic mattress cover, no mattress pad, and nylon-y sheets. If I recommended it, it would be to someone with a sense of adventure and high tolerance for only the very basics of a place to sleep if they brought their own linens. The price reflected the reality. There were tents in the back yard which were additional "rooms".

Comfortable stay for last minute arrangements. Housekeeper was kind and approachable. Owner was very professional and gave run down on the houjse rules and gave a brief tour of the place.

Better than advertised!

What a great spot. Close to major thoroughfares, safe, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and hosted by an amiable, affable gentleman, Blue Ocean Guesthouse exceeded all my hopes--to the point that I added extra days to my stay. I slept well, grilled out on the patio, and had all the support I needed during my stay.

it was a Horrible experience! people smoking pot are unfriendly, People getting Drunk, And bding loud at all time of nights on weekdays not carimg about people that have go wake up early for work! The experience was Horrible, i left after 7 days although i planeed to stay longer, but it was not worth the stay.
