After staying at the Hyatt Place in Fort Lauderdale, my credit card got skimmed or cloned, causing a cascade of unauthorized charges. It was our first use of the card in Florida, and the timing was too coincidental to ignore. We had to cancel the card, which was filed with the cruise boat, leading to significant inconvenience. Despite reaching out to Hyatt's customer service and them promising an "investigation," they never followed up, leaving us feeling powerless and frustrated. Sending them evidence of the unauthorized charges seemed to fall on deaf ears. As frequent travelers, this experience has led us to switch to other properties. It's disheartening because we used to enjoy staying at Hyatt, but now, their lackluster response has left us with little trust in their customer service.
