“One of the best experiences we have had traveling! Every detail was perfect and the staff were friendly, attentive and accommodating. I cannot say enough good things about the Reserve- bests Ritz, St Regis and Four Seasons for customer service:-)”

“Beautiful hotel grounds, nice spacious rooms, impeccable service Would definitely go back”

“This was beautiful and centrally located hotel in the heart of Funchal. The breakfast spread was really good and diverse and there lots of food places near by.”

“Fabulous hotel stay. Large room with very comfortable beds, house keeping excellent, breakfast very good with excellent hot and cold food choices. Amazing pool with various sunbathing areas and sufficient loungers. Good snack bar for lunches and drinks by pool. Good indoor pool with sauna and steam room. Walkable into old town, with supermarket, and good bars and restaurants in local vicinity.”

“Good location, we walked into town a few times or a short bus/taxi ride. Bus right outside the hotel including the airport bus. Really good breakfast, some more vegetarian options would be great. Staff especially reception staff were really helpful. Didn't like: upgrading to partial sea view was disappointing.”

“We had a truly wonderful stay here. On the days we weren't out for a hike, we loved making the most of the outdoor pool, and the sauna was really pleasant too. The breakfast buffet was delicious with a brilliant selection, and the rooftop bar offers cracking views in the evening. Honestly, though, the staff were the real highlight—everyone at reception was super helpful and went the extra mile to look after us. Management should be chuffed to bits with the team. Would definitely recommend.”

“The small gym was empty both times I went, which was great for me. I never saw anyone swimming in the gorgeous pool, possibly because it’s not very hot this time of year. Staff at reception very helpful. Located extremely close to restaurants and shops. Only thing I didn’t like was breakfast. They have 2 coffee machines that maybe fancy drinks which were great, but the food selection wasn’t appetizing. It was on par with a normal hotel continental breakfast.”

“Friendly staff good hot tub”
