very uncomportable place
staffs are very rude, uncomfortable, and sometimes they intimidated me for using bath. Smell of room is sucks, so you do not have to stay this place. In car is much better than this place.

Acceptable place to crash after a Gators game.
Hotel is what you expect, a low cost room in an old hotel in a college town. Two miles north of the stadium, an acceptable stagger back to the room after a Gator's victory.

Bed was uncomfortable hurt my back , a towel wasn't clean, bathroom tiles were bad and walls were peeling. wasn't happy.

Not a good value
Rooms were not maintained at all.. appliances were old and dirty, room smelled bad, wi-fi did not work at all, and bathroom needed major renovations. Pool was closed and had dirty water (possibly mosquito infestation).

Very Disappointed
My Husband and I stayed at the Knights Inn, when it was just off Archer by I 75, several years ago. We liked the idea that is was then a one floor motel and that it was very clean. I was very disappointed with Room 157 on 8/19/2016. There were small roaches in the bathroom, I will not stay there again.

Looks dumpy but bed is super comfortable.
The place was having some internet issues when I got there, but besides that and the smell of 2 of the rooms, this place is in the top 5 of my best morels I've stayed at. Over all it was a really good experience

Stay Away
The pool didn't work. There wasn't a Continental breakfast, beds were uncomfortable, air conditioner was loud and there were cockroaches and other bugs in the bathroom and on the coffee tray. When we arrived , we went out and bought some bleach to clean the bathtub, which was not clean on the bottom, and wiped down all of the vanity surfaces.

We attended our son's master's program graduation
We were disappointed with the quality of the motel when we first got there. The room was in need of many repairs including the bathroom and the air conditioner. There were three cockroaches in the room when we arrived which I killed! I reported the air conditioner and bug issue to the staff right away and they said they would send someone to address the air conditioner and spray the room for bugs. I didn't report the constantly running toilet but decided it helped block out the noise of my husband snoring. I wondered why their cleaning staff didn't see this running toilet as a problem. We definitely got what we paid for in a motel so I wasn't totally dissatisfied since this is a choice I made.

Horrible
It was the worst experiences I have ever had in a hotel. There was one kind of bug in the bathroom and other bugs on top of the refrigerator. The shower was filthy. Several lights in the room did not work. The paint was pealing and the walls where coming apart. We never got a key that worked. We had to wait for someone to let us in the room and they never came back with a working key. We left as fast as possible. We stayed from around 11 at night until 7 in the morning.

Old motel but clean enough for quick stay
Very old motel but clean considering its age. Has great potential but needs a total make over. Pool is not open is fenced off and filled half way with moldy green water should be drained and filled in for safety and appearance purposes.

Seriously considered sleeping in my car.
the worse hotel experience of my life. smoking room, extremely dated outdoor carpet on the concrete floor, most of the lights did not work, faucets were leaking and so on. I never removed my clothes and pulled the hood of my sweatshirt over my head so I need not touch the pillows.

Fest 14 Trip
I waited until last minute and found a cheap hotel for my trip (punk rock festival), and got what I paid for. The room had a musty mold like smell and was stuffy do to the lack of AC. The bed felt damp and wasn't that comfortable. The bathroom door didn't have a lock on it. I got a non-smoking room with cigarette ashes in it. Window had a bar as a lock. The TV was obsolete and ancient. The staff was friendly. My advice would be for you to spend more money for a nicer hotel since the few extra bucks would be more than worth it.

For $80+ a night they should do a much better job with upkeep. There was nothing else in Gainesvillevso we had no choice but to stay here. The cleaning staff does an excellent job keeping the linens, beds, and towels clean, but it is a losing proposition when the place is falling apart.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in! The room smelled of urine. It was filthy and old. Do your self a favor--pay a few bucks more somewhere else!

The Knights Inn needs to be completely renovated, it is totally outdated. The breakfast was a joke. The room was old and in need of repair. I would never stay there again.

Game day in Gainesville
At check in we could only get one key, despite two of us going in two different directions. Friday night was too exhausted to do anything but collapse in bed, but Saturday night, late, when we returned the room's towels had been changed but bed was still unmade, nothing else had been "cleaned." As I was washing my face, saw a roach on the mirror in the bathroom, and I insisted that we leave, although it was nearly midnight. I was NOT staying in a place that had those critters crawling about. As it was a huge game day in Gainesville, there was no place to stay, so I just drove the three+ hours to West Tampa/Clearwater. Have stayed at another Knights Inn in Orlando when our son graduated from Rollins, and that was clean, not upscale, but clean. This was creepy and dirty. Even the door knob to the hallway had been replaced, with insulation stuffed into the hole that was otherwise exposed to the outside. Neighborhood was scary, but the hotel itself, filled with fans for the game, was not much of a threat. Just the hotel room itself was a threat, filthy, needs a major overhaul or needs to be torn down.

It's a dump
It's an absolute dump. Only reason we stayed is because it was the last room in town. I'll sleep in car next time!

Only hotel left that was close enough to UF
Do not stay here unless you have no other options. It is a very old, dirty hotel. The "breakfast" was a joke. I needed to sanitize my whole body after sleeping there.

The is dated motel with old TV's in the rooms. It is in a good location from the UF and the room was clean and the staff was friendly. The showers had excellent water pressure.

Room was not clean
I wasn't expecting a nice hotel, but I always expect a hotel to be clean, & this was far from clean. The outside of the building was cleaner then the room inside.

Knights Inn - Gainesville, Florida
I am a thirty year Army veteran and I have been to many third world nations; and this hotel is the worst I have ever seen. Although the staff members are courteous, the hotel's condition is borderline condemnable. The hotel was built in the late 1950's or early 1960's and has probably not ever had a renovation. The room was disgusting and reeked of pet and smoke odors. The furniture is probably the original furniture. The bathroom's toilet would not stop running and the sink had a leak. The shower was so disgusting, my wife would not take a shower in it. I would have checked out after walking into the room, but there were no other rooms available in my area. I have laid my head to rest in some unique places over my Army career, but never one as bad as this hotel. Unless you are desperate, do not book at this hotel.

Terrible Hotel
I wish I could post the pictures I took of the disgusting fridge that hasn't been cleaned in months. The microwave was disgusting, I'm not sure if it was mold but there's black stuff on the walls in the bathroom.

Affordable Stay in Gainesville
The Knights Inn provides an inexpensive place to stay in Gainesville. We were staying there after a Florida football game and were there only to sleep. We got what we paid for - the rooms are old, with stains in the tub and some paint peeling on the walls. The TV did not work, and the electrical outlet did not allow me to charge my razor. The breakfast consisted of orange juice, coffee, bananas, oatmeal cream pies, swiss rolls, and honey buns. That being said, I would stay there again. The hotel served its purpose of providing an inexpensive place to stay on a football weekend. Positives include the size of the room and a very friendly staff.

Not a good one
The room was really in bad shape from old worn out carpets, broken phone, vintage tv and musty smell. My husband and I travel all the time and this is so far the worst place we stayed in. We will not go back

Old, Dirty
This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at, that I can remember. The Repair-Guy was nice, but he spent almost as much time in my Room as my Girlfriend did (she said it was kinda gross)!? They refused to give me a Refund for the 2nd-Night, BUT LUCKILY EXPEDIA STEPPED UP AND REFUNDED THE 2nd-Night to me.

It's a place to lay your head at night
Good points: It was quiet enough, and it was in a decent enough area. I didn't see any evidence of bed bugs or cockroaches or anything like that. The bed was comfortable enough. There was a refrigerator in the room - which worked a bit too well (5 = freezing) - and a microwave oven, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron & ironing board, desks, TV, couch, coffee tables, etc. - i.e., most of the things you'd expect a hotel suite - except an alarm clock (the only clock I saw was on the microwave). Some of the staff were very nice. Not so good points: The bathroom door was so swollen due to the humidity that it wouldn't close at all. Whatever paint they used on the bathroom counter top was peeling badly and the tub was pock-marked. Also, the tub had a draining issue. Don't take too long of a shower, or the tub will overflow. Expect to have to flush the toilet 2-3 times. The wall-to-wall carpet was very cheap and didn't lay flat. The coffee tables and the carpet area around the coffee table were very sticky (someone had apparently spilled something all over the coffee table and onto the floor, and it hadn't been cleaned up at all - my socks stuck to the carpet). The overhead lights didn't work. There could be more electrical outlets. I didn't find a "Do Not Disturb" sign, so housekeeping would knock on my door around 9:00 am. The quality of the furniture was pretty much the level of garage-sale rejects. In short, it's pretty run-down - really just a step or two above tent camping.

Best for Fest
Don't hesitate to stay here if you're coming for the Fest. A lot of bands stay here, so you can just hitch a ride with them downtown. Plus, there's a bus stop nearby that takes you where the shows are. Staff is friendly. The party scene is tight.

Best stay in the Gainesville area!
The front desk staff was by far the most friendly and accommodating to any other hotel we've stayed at in the Gainesville area. Room was clean, quiet and cimfortable! Will definitely be staying here again on future visits!

The room smelled like someone died there. Carpet was full of stains. Shoes from the last guest or the dead guy were left in the room by the housekeepers.

Personable guy at front desk. Room smelled of sulphur. Bathroom was moldy. 2 towels for 3 guests. No phone or alarm clock. Lamps didn't work. It was the only hotel with vacancy for race weekend. I'll sleep in my SUV before staying there again.

Good for the Price
I read all the recent comments about this hotel before making my reservations. The hotel looked a bit rundown but the room was clean, comfortable and did not smell ( like some people commented). It was perfect for what I needed...a clean room, comfortable bed and clean bathroom.

Worst hotel in Florida
I would rather sleep under a bridge then in this hotel. It was filthy. Peeling paint ( and that was on a bathroom counter) dead bugs in light lenses and the odor was repulsive.

Inexpensive Business Motel, Worked For Me
Friendly customer staff. Advised me on some surroundings when inquiring at check-in, checked in to see if the room was accommodating, presented breakfast options, and offered to turn on/adjust the TV in the morning while eating. Several places to eat in walking distance such as a Checkers and a Chinese restaurant. Walking a little further, there's a Taco Bell and a Subway amongst other places. Neighborhood was a little noisy when groups of people passed by the hotel to get to the main road. You may be able to see their patio from your room's back door. The sinks and tub look worn down, but they worked for me with hot water. Would stay again.
