"Nice hotel with swimmingpool and bubblebath. Nice selection at breakfast. My room had a beautiful view with my own big balcony. . The room was nice and clean except that you could hear the train passing. When I did shut the door to the balcany it was ok. Moneglia is a very pretty and small village away from tourists. The hotel is close to the train station and perfect if you want to go hiking in Cinque Terre. The hotel is situated up on the hill and its quite heavy walking."

Sestre Levante is close to the villages in Cinque Terra but has a completely different feel, more Italian tourists seem to stay here and it has great restaurant options. "The staff was incredibly kind and went out of their way to be helpful beyond required. Room was ready, they let us check in very early and upgraded us and we were leaving early the next morning so they left a kettle and little snacks for us in our room since we expected to miss the included buffet breakfast. We ended up waking up late and getting to breakfast which was INCREDIBLE! Amazing location too. Debated this or staying directly in Portofino and THIS location is way better. Portofino is nice but not worth staying more than a few hours or a day between shopping and beach (but now is off season). The shops and restaurants and coffee and gelato was much better in Santa Margarita than Portofino"

"Our room was a good size, bright and we had a beautiful ocean view. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. We loved the "old school" elevator. The restaurant staff were very friendly and the food was delicious and breakfast was ample enough to keep us going till we ate again later in the day. The location is perfect to explore Rappallo and also right across from the boat pier to explore Santa Margherita, Portofino and San Fruttuoso. Additionally, I had a car and the staff sorted our parking for me and provided the car back to me within 15 minutes upon request, which was very convenient. We would definitely stay there again."
