Convenient, affordable, clean, stocked with amenities and towels. Was between the interstate and railroad tracks but wasn’t horrific, really didn’t notice.

Read the reviews and not one said the motel was located between the interstate and a set of railroad tracks where the train ran at least hourly all night. If you are a light sleeper this place is not for you. The floor had not been vacuumed, there were cob webs with bugs hanging from the ceiling and the bed had many short hairs in it. It looked clean but one has to wonder. I would be hard pressed to stay here again.

Nice stay.
Pretty basic room, very clean. No issues with anything. About 40 yards from the train tracks - I felt the vibration when the train went by but barely heard it. If you're a light sleeper that might be a problem. Slept great!

A clean and comfortable oasis.
I stopped in Wheatland only to discover, on Hotels.com, that the several motels there were all booked. But a room was available at Glendo, a tiny town an hour north, so I booked it. Howard's is part of a gas station/convenience store, although physically separate and about 100 yards away. I checked in at the gas station, which was quick and easy. There are only about six motel units, in two small buildings. They seem to be new and my room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. There were, however, two things that were disagreeable. First, the entire complex was unpaved and only covered with gravel, not paved. Second, there is a railroad track about 50 feet away. The first time a train came through, in the middle of the night, I woke up with a "what the h*ll?" experience. It seemed like a UFO had landed on the roof. Once I figured out what was happening it was cool, but I probably woke up every time a train ran by.

What a gem!
Really nice, clean and newly refurbished motel room. It was a real gem in the woodpile to find such a great place near to our family camping in the State Park. Check in at the gas station went smoothly and a fully stocked store had all the essentials and more. We will stay again!

The price was very reasonable. The room was clean and bathroom has been upgraded. Parking area gravel and lots of traffic around convenience store but I’m okay with both those things. Would stay here again!!!

Check in was horrible, they didn’t know anything about the whole proses. They had us for one room ( we booked 2) and on the wrong night! Took 45 minutes to FINALLY get checked in. Horrifying and horrible!! We will NEVER EVER stay there again.

Just passing through on the bike.
It was an ok motel. Situated directly between the railroad tracks on one side and the interstate on the other. Nothing fancy at all, but it was clean and comfortable. Dirt road and parking. I just needed a place to sleep for the night passing through on the bike.

Immaculate, newly remodeled, had everything we needed a roadside store next door. Rustic on the outside with updated interior. You have to realize it's along the interstate and next to a train busy train track but you get used the noise and it adds to the ambiance of the location! Staff are well informed about the community as they are long time residents. WE had everything we needed including wi-fi and laundry if we had needed it. We had an easy drive to Lake Glendo to meet up with our family, and 2 bags of free ice every day. The motel is tucked behind the service station/store just off the freeway so be sure the head for the gas station store to check in. 10 stars if there were that many, considering you are in the open country of wonderful Wyo.

Overall a good experience
We showed up one day later than expected. We offered to pay for both nights and the woman who checked us in was very rude and stating she probably cancelled the reservation and made us feel like we drove out here and weren't going to have any accomodations. She also told us they get often get overbooked from 3rd parties and then she doesn't know why people are mad at the establishment. Other than that the stay was great and it's nice to be by the convenience store

Perfect property for a quiet, simple overnite stay on a roadtrip. It took a few minutes before we realized we needed to check-in at the convenience store/gas-station. (Which is a great place to pick up chicken, etc) Very clean and comfortable.

I checked in around 3:00. I was unable to get my key as the room was being cleaned. I was told to check back in half an hour. After that half hour I was told to find the cleaning person and pick up my key from them. When I tracked down the cleaning person she told me it was not clean yet. She said it should be ready after 5:00. I had a graduation party to attended at 5:00. I stoped by at 7:00 to pick up my key. Very disappointing.

Happily surprised!
I was filled with hesitation as I was booking the reservation for my room. Wasn’t sure what to expect as this was the only place (motel) to stay in while in Glendo. I was absolutely amazed and so happy when I walked in and the place was VERY clean and had the comforts you would need during a stay. It made my entire trip to Glendo! I will definitely go back and stay again! Also, the staff who work at the gas station take such good care of you during your stay!
