“Beautiful hall and surroundings. Dinner was excellent. My room was spacious and clean. The staff make this place amazing, they are all so lovely. Solveiga stood out the most, I was lucky enough to have her check me in and out and she is honestly the most wonderful person. I hope she gets the credit she deserves.”

“Almost everything about this stay was excellent. I would say that some of the interior is in need of maintenance (sagging floors) and one bathroom was tight spacing. The parking was not available but we were able to get parking nearby.”

“We found the hotel very easily - just a mile from the M The welcome from the reception staff couldn't have been bettered. Our room was quite hot with afternoon sun. We rigged up the provided fan to cool the room. We ate at The Bumble Bee next door first evening. Very good The second evening, we wanted an early meal - and ate in the hotel. Equally as good. Breakfast was excellent Thanks for a perfect stay”

“The room was ok, but very hot ane stuffy. There was a fan, but it didn't work very well at all. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great, the walls dirty with scuff marks.”

“Lovely serene location near the canal and river (might get busy when the weather is good)..Lovely traditional spacious and comfortable rooms, in good clean condition. Communication before arrival excellent. We weren't able to use the spa bath as the plumbing currently needs re-doing to prevent leaks and there is no shelf to put the toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast isn't available at the restaurant currently but there is Toby Carvery or the cafe at Over Farm next door. Location is...

“The location of the hotel was convenient for my visit. The room, bathroom and bedding were clean but the room could do with refurbishing as the decor and furniture was a little tired and dated. All members of staff were friendly and very helpful. The parking was convenient, as were the local bakery and great coffee shop.”
