We are so sorry that you left feeling that way...if something like a medical emergency were to happen, we would certainly like to be notified of it. I really don't know what more I could have done especially as we were not notified of what was even happening and that 911 was called. That was the concern. We had to learn about it from the other guests and our security camera that morning. It is our responsibility to provide a safe and secure environment for ALL of our guests. To address your other comments, I came to your room to ask about your sister when I learned of it, you told me you were going to pack up so that you could leave to pick her up when they call to dismiss her. My understanding was that she might have eaten or drank something that day that made her ill. When you returned from the hospital, no one even came down to the kitchen where I was working and still serving breakfast. You just left with no word to how she was feeling. We were also showing our concern when I texted her a couple hours after you left the Inn and she replied back to me. We do hope she is feeling much better and that the rest of your trip will be good.

I am sorry about the issues we had but policies are in place for a reason...fire codes, and the safety and well-being of every guest. Smoking, vaping and SMOKING POT is completely prohibited, and you signed our registration accepting this policy upon check-in. It is "reasonable" to expect guests to follow these policies.

Being a new Innkeeper, I appreciate your comments and thoughts. I don't know if this was your first visit to a B&B or not but most, if not all, B&Bs have a check-in window. Our window is three hours unless you have made prior arrangements which I seem to do often. Same with our breakfast service. In the office/reception area we have fruit/snacks there at all times, along with water, teas, etc. Coffee makers are in all of the guestrooms as well. We were looking for you at breakfast....I wished you would have tried our breakfast service with the others as we had homemade muffins, breads, homemade Granola and our Raspberry and Blueberry homemade baked Puff. We have fresh roasted local Maine coffees made by 8am and served throughout the morning. After relaxing with all that we then serve a fully cooked breakfast! No one ever goes away hungry at the PineCrest Inn ;)

We are sorry that your experience wasn't more perfect. It is a very old (1825) house, and I am guessing as to what room you may have been commenting about. The front of the house does have the older windows and do not have screens. And yes, it is on the list and we will be replacing that sink during our off-season.
