Can't fault the hotel, comfortable stay, good food, friendly staff and always kept clean. The night time is a bit too loud if you want want an early night but apart from that we had a lovely stay.

Good budget friendly hotel

Really good budget friendly hotel. Good pool, water park and playground for the kids. I agree the food is not the best but I've managed to find something that I like every time. The drinks included in the AI package were surprisingly good local ones.

Nice and clean hotell

It’s the third time that i stay at Abora with my 3 kids. Nice and clean place, good food and snack buffet. Walking distance to the beach. I can recommend Abora.

Overall the hotel is definitely for families and is children friendly. Apart from a nice little beach there’s not much in walking distance away the area. This is the first time we’ve tried an all inclusive style hotel and after a couple of days the food/menu started to feel like the same dishes, so if you like verity then it’s not for you. Finding people are not always courteous(multiple hands reaching in at once) even though the trays were always stocked. The pool areas and entertainment was really fun. The top bar was convenient and always had hot food. Room was a good size but felt outdated. The bed was not great, 2 singles put together to make a double(but they had rollers on the legs that don’t look so any small movement would make the beds come apart) checking in and out was easy and quick. Disappointing that when we booked there was a gym but by the time we got there they had removed it??

The hotel Is located on the Hills in the nearby of the st.Augustin black sand beach reachable within 10 minutes by walk or using the shuttle service provided from the hotel. Generally it is a good solution for families with small kids food is quite good and variety is acceptable.

It isn’t a 4 star hotel, the rooms are tiny and basic, no baths, the sink was stained, no water fountains on the floors, vending machine didn’t work, hole in the ceiling in the hallway of block 4, food basic and bland after the 3rd day knew what to expect each day. The staff were polite, friendly and welcoming, rooms were cleaned every day and the cleaners were always polite and helpful, but I will not be returning. The rooms need to be updated.

Good stay at Abora

Nice hotel, 3 nights, comfy room with huge balcony, high quality bedding you just love to wrap yourself in. Early March stay, pool was heated to 24C I was told, still a bit cold, but "refreshing". We didn't use nearby beach, wasn't that inviting - instead we drove to man made gorgeous beach Amadores - best on the island. The only thing - food was okay, but a bit bland tasting. Maybe because of the many children guests, but would appreciate more flavour, more "zing", perhaps more variety (at times only cut up oranges in the fruits section...but that papaya we got on 2 occasions was fantastic). Free Pepsi, etc sodas, pour your own red-rose-white- sangria wine, beer.

Good stay but some things to consider

Overall a good stay. On the positive side the hotel was very good for the kids (a 4 year old and a baby). Large pools, lots of sunbeds, activities, snacks etc. for them so it was very convenient. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The negative: - room was dirty upon check-in. Complained to the front desk and it was re-cleaned right away. - pools were rather cold and closed at early at 18:00. - all inclusive buffet was quite boring, plain and limited in its offerings. Positive though that menus are rotated so it’s not the same each day. - Kids menu was mostly the same as for adults so if your child is a picky eater they will likely need to eat at/or you need to bring something from the poolbar where there is more kids friendly food like hot dogs, nuggets etc.
