“The first disappointment was how close by the road was.It makes sense for an old hotel,but I found the constant noise and traffic unpleasant and certainly for sitting on the verandah.Also no breakfast is served which is mentioned on website though it definitely was not happening.And lastly I found it tacky to demand a dollar each for drinks in the beverage area.If it costs that much they could incorporate it in the room charge.It just seems unwelcoming”

“It was a real treat to stay at the Balsam Inn! The Inn is off the beaten path like I wanted and very very quite. Jenny is a warm welcoming host. She even upgraded my room just because it was available. The room itself was beautiful! It felt like I was a guest in someones Adirondack mountain home. Antique furniture, pines cones, snowshoes, layered bedding...like in an LLBean catalog. The bed was super comfy. I had a large screen TV and mini fridge in the room. Although there is a...
