"We’ve stayed at many Hampton Inns in many states over the years but this location is a new favorite!
The front desk staff is so friendly and helpful, the decor with the grand staircase creates a boutique hotel feel. Hot Coffee or tea, fresh fruit flavored water, and fresh cookies are a lovely touch as well!
Our room was clean, spacious feeling and had a nice alcove with wet bar, refrigerator, small coffee maker and microwave. The king bed was very comfortable. It was also so quiet at night.
The free breakfast buffet was one of the best we’ve had. We stayed 3 nights and each morning there was something new in the hot buffet. Another wonderful touch is the nightly happy hour with free snacks and drinks to purchase! We were celebrating our anniversary, and the sweet lady running it gave us glasses to use for the bottle of champagne my husband brought, then she turned on music and a strobe light ball to make it special for us! So thoughtful, and those simple gestures demonstrate only one of many ways the staff goes above and beyond.
The pool area is clean and has lounge chairs and a few tables with umbrellas, but a little more shade options and maybe some plants would make it perfect.
The gym area has the basic equipment and is clean.
And lastly, the location of this hotel is perfect for walking to the many restaurants and local shops, watching sunset, and a quick drive to the public beach or state park!
We definitely plan to return with the rest of our family!"
