A gem in Halesworth

The Boarding House was an amazing find. The room was comfortable and well equipped, the food for breakfast was excellent and the service from Tyler was friendly and personal. Would highly recommend.

Very friendly host, very comfy and clean room and excellent breakfast. As it's a listed building there are limitations on eco-friendliness (no double glazing). Would love to return and try the restaurant.

This is a hotel thats in the making. Our room though clean and perfectly adequate overlooked the garden where pople sat but there were no nets or screens. Half window nets would make it possible to shower without embarasement Breakfast great. Coffee in room was out of date. No hooks for coats. Garden needs major work.A little pricy until things get sorted. Lovely owners and family. Things will be OK!

We stayed in July 2024, in the Garden Room, the host was a nice guy very accommodating. On arrival shown to the room and facilities. The bed linen had to be changed as appeared it had been made but sheets not changed, and they had some stains on them, this was resolved quickly when reported to host. Water stain in the room above door, decor needed attention, curtain had hooks missing so difficult to draw. Toilet not clean.

A wonderful stay.

Room was spacious, very clean, with nothing to spare. Plenty of plugs. Tyler was absolutely lovely and professional. He's a great chef as well. Hoping to come back next year.

Anniversary treat away

Our lovely room over looked the garden and the fridge and homemade cookies were a surprise bonus. The owner Tyler was very friendly and helpful and his daughter served us when we had an evening meal which was excellent. Our breakfast was also delicious.

Had a short stay at this hotel. Very disappointing. first sign was when we arrived and there was no one there. Doors were shut and a note to phone stuck to the doors. Were told to use side entrance past smelly bins and find our room. Room was large with a nice bathroom but all needed a bit of TLC. The breakfast was small and offered no cereals or fruit just cooked food. (did get some cornflakes on request) whilst other items were not available The garden was overgrown and unusable. There was no night staff and the side entrance was left unlocked. This is definitely not a boutique hotel just a hotel in decline. Pity it could be so much better.

The ceiling was stained with water marks from leaks and water dripped into my room all night through the door. Even though it had been raining, the bedroom should be sealed from water. Was told to put towels on floor. Highly unsatisfactory.
