“This was really just a regular hotel room in an old fashioned building. The breakfast was what you would expect in a hotel - nothing special. The carpets are a bit old and had that old hotel smell. The rooms were not very sound proof. It would be fine if your main reason was to be in Half Moon Bay, and you aren’t looking for a particularly special or pampered experience.”

“This was my first time staying here and the place is cute and very close to the shops. Upon arrival there was no one available for check in as advertised on the website and the front door. I also called the phone number on the website and the front door has posted to which no one answered. Thank goodness for a housekeeper and groundskeeper that called the owner (Sandra) to ask what is going on since several families were standing outside to check in. After 2 hours they did an over the phone...

“Visited for a long weekend with my S.O. in February 2026. This place was very nice. Our room had a fireplace and nice seating in front of the TV. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful served up hot in the room. B&B was right across the street from the ocean and a block away from a very nice restaurant which we dined at twice. It is walking distance to all downtown amenities and additional restaurants and shopping. I would highly recommend and stay again.”

“The room was clean and very comfortable. The location is VERY convenient to downtown Half Moon Bay - right in the middle of some stores. Great for walking to restaurants and shopping. It was very quiet while we were there but I don't know about weekend noise. There is no staff on the premises but they did response to our phone calls to resolve a few minor problems. We paid for parking which was nice for coming and going. ”

“Quiet rooms”

“The ocean view was there but could see the back of the next building with a streetlight. The sound traveled from the room above, maybe our upstairs neighbor was an elephant. Overall great place to stay, obviously no pool or restaurant but that was not in the description, do we did not expect it. There was always a place to park in the hotel lot which was nice.”

“parking: plenty of spots checking processing time: too long , writing so many things room temp: set temp 83F however only cold air came out so i called the front but no one was there to fixt it. i was asked to change a room but no guarantee that the room would be good ”
