"What stood out was the service, from the manger Jimmy greeting us as we arrived to all of the front desk staff. Winnie and Timothy stood out for their hospitality and warmth. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. The room was fine for my wife , myself and our 7 year old son . Great shower after a busy day of sightseeing. Location is 3 minutes from a train station that can take you anywhere. I would recommend staying here and if we were to return to Kyoto sound stay here again ."

Breakfast was outstanding—fresh, beautifully presented, and one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had in Japan. The ofuro in the spa is divine—a serene, deeply relaxing experience and the perfect way to unwind after exploring the beautiful garden with beautiful shrine and koi fish. We genuinely loved every second of our stay. Four Seasons kyoto has raised the bar and is now one of our favorite hotels anywhere. We cannot wait to return."

"Great location near Main Street but set back enough to be quiet. Room was very quiet. Super comfortable beds. Nice deep bathtub. Breakfast was fantastic- so much variety. To name just a few: miso soup, salmon, yogurt, eggs, pastries, fried rice, plain rice, make your own noodle soup, cereal, pickled cabbage, natto, bread. Only complaint was coffee wasn’t the best, and would have liked brewed tea instead of tea bags."
