“The room was lovely and welcoming, very comfortable and was more than we were expecting. The breakfast the next morning was brilliant, great produce and great selection to try! The spa was fab, definitely worth adding onto your stay. So many fun relaxing experiences to try and the staff are all lovely and welcoming. Felt like a truly lovely experience compared to other spa visits. It was such a vibe! Would highly recommend. ”

A lovely lady from concierge called me today to confirm my booking and ensure we had the details for the contactless check-in (access codes for the front door and key box) as we were due to arrive after she had left. “An old-fashioned hotel in an old building but there's nothing wrong with that - it has character, unlike a lot of modern anodyne ones. Service was exceptional: accommodating and friendly. It is located dead in the centre of the old town and is ideally placed for exploring it (and for staggering back from the pubs!). It also has a well regarded Thai restaurant on the ground floor, so no need to go far if you don't want to. There is free parking at the back. I would certainly stay again if I was...

“Had a wonderful stay at The Dabbling Duck. Our room was lovely and clean with a great view of the Village Green. The staff, who were extremely busy serving Sunday lunch were very polite and helpful. We had a booking in the restaurant, where the food was amazing, as was the breakfast. Over all, this is a stunning place to stay and chill, absolutely loved it, 10/10.”
