โThese domes are an awesome way to enjoy the ambiance of Iceland a stones throw from Reykjavik. On. A nice day Iโm sure you can see the mountains and have a great view of the aurora. We were there in rainy foggy conditions, but that just made the domes seem more cozy. The hot tub was amazing in the cold Icelandic air, and the macarons and bubbles were a nice check in surprise! โ
โFantastic breakfast. Lovely clean and quiet rooms with good facilities. Easy transport links by bus around Reykjavรญk, right outside the hotel. Ample free parking for your hire car (the best way to see Iceland is to hire a car and explore the sights). Fabulous friendly and helpful staff. โ
โit's not a downtown but you can reach that 20~30mins by walk
it's a good place for people who are join travel bus, very quiet place and close to travel agency bus terminal(5mins by travel bus)
I love this hotel, when I back to hotel it's already at night so just slept at hotel
it's a not good place if you want to go to downtown often by walk and stay close or in downtownโ
"I usually aim to leave balanced reviews, but our experience at this hotel was quite disappointing. We didnโt receive self check-in information until we contacted the property on the day of arrival, which caused unnecessary stress.
Once there, the front door passcode didnโt work โ not just for us, but for several other guests who were stuck outside in freezing weather during a Reykjavik snowstorm. It's advertised as self-check-in, but it should't be called "Self-Check-in" Hotel if the codes donโt function properly.
The room we were initially assigned also had no working heating, which was hard to accept in such extreme weather. When I called the help desk, I was told to wait until the next day. After informing them that I was traveling with an elderly, we offered a different room. Unfortunately, the heating in the second room failed the next day, and the help desk was unhelpful.
Lastly, the listing says there is free parking, which is true โ but spaces are extremely limited, so donโt count on availability.
Also, if you are not fluent in English, navigating issues here could be challenging and potentially frustrating, as communication might become an additional barrier.
On a positive note, I do want to acknowledge that the customer service team, when reached, was generally helpful and supportive. I truly appreciate that, but I would prefer not to be in a situation where I need to contact the team in the first place."
