This was a great hotel-ish place with somewhat funky decor and a great location. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. We loved it and would stay here again!

Overpriced room. The entire building smells of mold when you enter. The room was quite ok, but bathroom had mold in ceiling and on the walls. The photos give an entirely different impression and the family room does not have any photos, which is not good. The area is great, very close to fabulous restaurants.

We loved our stay here! Luigi and Aziyade were wonderful hosts and very helpful, and offered many good recommendations for transportation, dining, and entertainment. This location is perfect for enjoying the nightlife in Trastevere, and is an easy 30 minute walk from some of the main sights like the Colloseum or the Forum. The rooms were quiet and comfortable, and the size of the property is smaller which means that you will only have a few other guests in the other rooms around you - which is great if you want quiet space to unwind. We really hope we can come back!

Great little property in Trastevere. The room is like a small studio apartment on the second floor. Room was in great shape and very clean. Host was great and was very accommodating. Just remember that this is not a traditional hotel so the host is not there outside of the morning and early afternoon hours, which we knew from our research of the property. The location was perfect. So many good restaurants and nightlife within 5-10 min walk. If you like going out at night for food and some drinks Trastevere is the place to be in Rome as a tourist. Other location except for the Vatican are in walking distance. Download the Freenow app for taxi service to get to further out locations.

Great hosts, fantastic location

Neat location in Trastevere, amazing restaurants nearby, easy walk to tourist spots but nice to be a bit removed from them. Great owners - even gave us towels for our day trip to the beach!

US travelers with expectations of pulling up to a hotel with a fancy lobby and quick access to their room may be disappointed with our 5 star rating, but with regards to a unique experience in Rome, we loved the WRH Trastavere. The owner is only on the property from 7:00 am until 1:00 pm, so if arriving later, guests will have to walk to the local restaurant and pick up their key. Once established in the room, guests are in the center of a decent neighborhood in Rome, with a great variety of restaurants, breakfast cafes, ice cream shops and easy access to taxis. The room had good air conditioning (summer visit,) a clean bathroom and comfortable beds. Luigi is on site at the previously mentioned times and is friendly and willing to help with suggestions, directions, and tour bookings. We had a great adventure in Rome while well-centered at the WRH Trastavere!

Our host , Luigi, was very accommodating and helpful. The space is comfortable and clean in a really central location to see all of Rome. The Trastevere neighborhood is a super lively area with art galleries, restaurants, bars and all sorts of activities right on the street. Be aware that this is B and B type stay so there are quiet times to be respectful of other guests. I will definitely stay there again thanks, Luigi

I really like the location of this property. It’s walkable to a lot of restaurants, shops etc. The place is clean. Luigi is really nice and friendly. My only complaint is that the airconditioning is not very cold.

I had an amazing stay in Trastevere, Rome! The hotel was charming. The location was ideal, nestled in the heart of Trastevere, allowing easy access to the vibrant local cafes, restaurants, and shops. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful (Luiggi), offering great recommendations for local dining and sightseeing. My room was cozy and clean, with a comfortable bed and all the essentials. Trastevere itself is a beautiful neighborhood, full of character and charm. The cobblestone streets, colorful buildings, and lively atmosphere made it feel like I was truly immersed in the local Roman culture. This property was adequate for our 2 night stay. It was one large room with 2 single beds and 1 queen bed. It was clean and in a great location with many restaurants, cafes, and attractions near by. The accommodation itself was very basic and didn’t have any real climate control so we left the window ajar at night to keep the place cool. The trade off was keep the window closed and sweat all night, or open it to keep cool but listen to all the street noise all night long. I would recommend this if you are on a budget and only staying a night or two in Rome for sure.

The room size was decent but the toilet didn’t flush properly and the water in the sink didn’t run. The lights outside the toilet were not working, same as the light in the corridor outside the room. In the week that we were there they never cleaned the room and some days didn’t even make the bed. When living towels on the floor to be changed they just hang them up again without changing them. The walls are so thin that you can hear other guests conversations as if they were in the room with you. The only good thing is that the location is excellent.

The location of this property is excellent. All the major attractions are within a 20-30 min walk. While the owners are very nice, we did encounter some issues. Our hired cars both booked using the hotel came with issues. The first picked us up at the ship port 45min late. We belive he was waiting at the wrong ship. The second driver was given the wrong names by the hotel which created confusion. The hotel itself I would describle more as a hostel. The room we had was quite small. The mattress was incredibly thin and uncomfortable. We did notice upon leaving, other rooms had much larger matresses. The safe in the room was not even bolted to anything. Not much of a safe. Overall a nice place if youre looking to save a bit.

First night did not get the room I chose in the booking, the room we got had this awful mold mildew smell, the smell came from this mold spotty looking curtain, I told the property manager and he said the spots are from makeup and to open a window… we got into the room we originally chose the next night at least. Room keeping is supposed to come before 11 but it didn’t come one day and having to contact the property manager for new towels and toilet paper was annoying. Besides that the host was nice and gave great recommendations for food around trastevere
