Hotel staff are usually quite helpful but could be difficult to communicate with if you're an English-speaking visitor. We were fortunate enough to have someone in our group who spoke basic Hindi, who acted as the translator between us. Hotel environment was generally clean and tidy.
This hotel is located opposite the Jain Temple, which creates LOTS of noise from 5am onwards during festivities and will definitely keep you wide awake at dawn.
Hotel maintenance could have been better. During our 10-day visit, we've seen cockroaches in our rooms; the curtain railing fell off due to poor support on the wall and the toilet door lock was jammed. More importantly, when we came back to Ahmedabad from a 3-day trip elsewhere, we found our door unlocked because the hotel staff forgot to lock it after completing his routine check-up!
Complementary hotel breakfast was very average - breakfast was either very oily, tasted weird or lacked any flavours at all. Better to buy your own breakfast from the supermarket beforehand or eat out.
