Driveways not cleaned of snow and icy conditions. The tub had dried skin on the bottom. The taps had to use two hands to turn on or off. The room was cold and couldn’t turn it high enough. Woke up freezing in the middle of the night and had to put more clothes on. The internet was terrible. Was given the code but after numerous attempts had to go to office for her to do. After that it kept cutting . Terrible

America's Best Inns & Suites of Emporia was clean, pleasant, and comfortable and the price was reasonable for the room. The staff was friendly and professional and we enjoyed our stay.

Right off the highway but not noisy. Within walking distance from Casey's and a liquor store. AC in the room worked great. The staff was friendly and always around when I had questions. Didn't break the bank to rent a room for the weekend on super short notice.

Out of the 7 motels I stayed in within a 2 week period, this was the best. It was clean, had good furniture in room, all the amenities. Quiet, ample parking. It looked cozy and was well lite at night. And coffee in the morning.

Website says they have breakfast but they dont and havnt for a couple years. That needs to be fixed.

very friendly and helpful woman who checked me in. ice machine nice. Great price. Room clean and bed comfortable.. TV had large selection of channels including premium channels (HBO, Cinemax) AC worked great.

Great service!
You get what you pay for. Rooms outdated and beds uncomfortable. Stayed 13 days went and got a bed topper. However customer service was the best and they cleaned the room everyday.

Never Again!
We had to check-in late but I called ahead to inform them. When we got there, they were rude and told me a different room number than what he wrote and the key wouldn’t work to the room either so he had to open it. The room was clean but hadn’t been updated since 1965 and smelled like bug spray. Instead running the wiring for the lights properly the used extension cords and duct tape. The deadbolt didn’t work on the door either. I didn’t feel safe. I won’t be staying there ever again.

This is a 'minimalist' property. Stay for the price, not the amenities. One room the shower didn't work. The bed was okay. No hair driers. The area is showing its age. The manager stayed up for our late arrival but used a completely manual process to check us in.

If it was free it still would have been unacceptable, in my 45 yrs as a sales rep and professional traveler, the carpet in my room was the nastiest, stained, un attached, crumpled ive ever seen?! It even affected my sleep, when i walked on it to the bathroom i worried about a foot disease! I BEG you to formerly inquire re the carpet of that hotel in Emporia, KS,....scary, nasty, filthy, free would have been a rip off...i was a pure dummy to stay in that room after checking in from the Indian desk person, who came to the desk in boxer underwear. Enough said, will you act?!

I would call it a dump, but that's mean to dumps.
Although the room itself appeared to be clean it looked like nothing had been updated since the 1970's. The toilet was cracked and the finish was worn off the seat. The towels were grey and thread bare. The furniture was past even being donated. We travel all the time and i rarely give bad reviews but this was a really bad and only worth about half the price we we paid.

It’s a $50 hotel. Beds were surprisingly good, room was clean. Decorating was horrible, but it was quiet and the a/c worked well. The shower drained slowly but the tub was clean. If you want a place to sleep and don’t care about the other stuff it’s a fine place. If you are looking for a getaway experience, you might want to consider something else. Only 4 stars because of the shower.
