Room was clean and bed comfortable. Good location in old town but very basic hotel. No elevators and hallways were pretty dirty, doors in my room opened to a fire escape which weren't very secure.

The unlit hotel signage is hard to see after dark. Steep staircases make property unfit for anyone with mobility issues. In-room tiny TV didn't have any reception. Location was in center of tourist area with lots of bars and restaurants, and only a few minute's walk to river.

The owner is abusive, she disrespects me and she has no control over the reservations. I don't know how Expedia recommends this hotel, on this platform, they don't clean it, the sheets were dirty, it's a horrible and expensive hotel. I changed hotel and now I'm in a cheaper and much better one.

From the pictures on the web you get a completely different impression on this hotel. There is no lift and the stairs are very narrow. When we arrived in the middle of the afternoon, there was nobody in the reception, so it took a while before we found out, that our key was in an envelope placed in a box on the counter. Price is way to high on this hotel!

The reception is not attended. Haven't met anyone exxept the cleaning lady which could not help much... Steep stairs and 3-4 floors. Difficult access with large suitcase.

No one home . . .

The room standard was particularly good. The room was big enough and the bathroom facilities were of a very good standard. We were on the first floor for guests - 38 steps! gaining entry: you must find the single door entry, number 35, with a sign to the right. We were a planned late arrival, about 23.15 actual. We could not gain entry. I then phoned the number I had and we set to on gaining entry under remote control. "Do you see the black box up high on the right?' YES. "Use this number to open **** and you will find a key"' OK " Open the door, them put the key back in the box and close it"' "Go upstairs to the check in desk, where you will find a box containing an envelope with your name on it". "This contains a door and room key". That was check in completed . . .

Dirty place with no customer service

Other than being located in the city center this place has nothing going on. The place is dirty. Floors did not seem like they had seen any sweeping lately, cover of the extra pillow in the cabinet was not changed from the previous party (I know bc it was full of hair), the stair carpets seemed to have been last washed before W2. Window blinds just enough to cover half of the willow let so much light at night and, of course in the morning. Checking in was a nightmare. First they did not respond to my inquiry via hotels.com, then I call their phone number listed in hotels.com only to be told it is the wrong number, then I get there at around 17.00 and find no one at the front desk. No AC. I would not go back!

Sängarna var inte så bekväma, telefonnummer till hotellet fel och personen i receptionen uttråkad och icke informerad. Hotellet ligger mitt i stan och parkeringen en bit bort. 7 euro i timme är rätt saftig.

Freundliches Team am Empfang. Kein Aufzug also nicht mit grossem Gepäck anreisen! Zimmer einfach aber komfortabel ausgestattet. Die Heizung war etwas schwach.

Simple convenience

Our fault was that we didn't read the message that the hotel sent. We also left home late so by the time we got there, the reception desk was closed. Parking was in a tiered garage and was about a 6-minute walk from the hotel. The hotel itself was hard to find. It's easy to miss because the entrance looks like a common doorway for apartment buildings. We got instructions from the hotelier by phone on how to get our key from a coded keybox. But opening the door was tough. The tumblers were not lining up. It's like lockpicking a master lock in Skyrim and you've only gotten the skill to 20. Both the main door and our hotel door was like that. Without an elevator, getting up the narrow stairwell was a challenge especially while carrying a jogging stroller. The room itself was simple. As for the location, everything that people can typically enjoy for a weekend is within 6-7 minutes away.

Altes Gebäude aber sauber, Personal sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Frühstück reichlich hat an nichts gefehlt, gerne wieder. Parkmöglichkeit nicht gerade günstig!!! Parkhaus, dafür aber in direkter Nähe und gut, 24 Stunden 25 Euronen

Kleines Hotel in bester Altstadtlage für einen kurzen Aufenthalt in Düsseldorf. U-Bahnstation nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß, sehr freundliches Personal, Altbau, Zimmer sauber, Betten gut, Sanitärraum modern umgebaut. Leider viel Treppen und ein kleiner Frühstücksraum. Aber auf dem Frühstücksbuffet war alles drauf. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

clean but noisy!

This is a super little hotel in a very central spot. Clean and efficient. One big downside though: We were on the fourth floor with SINGLE GLAZED windows meaning Fri and Sat night party noise was too loud. Hotels are places to sleep, after all. Fix those windows and its great for a quick city trip.

Pleasant hotel in good area.

good choice hotel close to plenty of bars, restaurants and the river - clean, comfortable and quiet environment - good choice of breakfast foods to suit all tastes!
