1 of 3 options when expedia.com subsidiary VRBO host left us stranded 6 hours away. After about 12 phone calls and 2.5 stressful hours to VRBO we finally got a young man to help, Rodolfo. Ali, Jayson, Juan, Patricia, among others, all hung up on us. No help. Our trip was for 4 days to show at the Houston Livestock show. They only put us up for 2 nights with a promise to find someplace else. Day 2 is halfway over and haven’t heard back from VRBO.
So back to this LaQuinta. Friendly staff. First 2 rooms they gave to us were not made up, things were on the beds as if we walked into someone else’s room, someone from the desert cause it was hot as hell in there. Rooms 3 and 4 were acceptable. Room-Beds were comfortable, tv picture froze every :30 seconds or so, phone did not work. Bathroom-water pressure alright, toilet wobbly, shower handle about to fall off, shower curtain too short-water all over, shower floor creaked with every step and was just waiting to fall though from the 3rd floor. Breakfast was non existent except for some fine prison dining…cereal, juice, boiled eggs and plain bagels.
