A lot of slippery steps with no real handrail. Hot water was funky and hard to control. Friendly staff.

The only thing that I like about this hotel was the pizza. The staff and service were poor. The location was okay just you need to be careful with the entrance and exit of hotel the parking lot is not very spacious.

The restaurant at the property was excellent. If you need a room for a large family, this is for you. While the room was obviously old and outdated, it was clean and had a small kitchenette. Beware, there is no elevator, so prepare to haul your luggage up many stairs. All of the people there were really nice. It was very quaint.

Not fancy but a great stay
Three location is great. Even though the road is busy or is walkable to Quepos and up the hill to markets and restaurants. Breakfasts choices are great and the staff is so friendly and helpful. It was a great stay while doing all the Manuel Antonio activities

Very rustic - don’t expect any services
The place is rustic. Very rustic. It’s pretty quiet, and in a good location between Quepos and Manuel Antonio. Limited parking. The whole site is built on a hill - so be aware that there are over 80 steps to the top rooms! Very little hot water - and no shampoo/shower gel provided. Towels are poor quality. AC is very strong, really good. Fridge in room is a decent size. No TV or phone. Wifi is patchy.

They upgraded us to an ocean view room which was very beautiful! The AC was really nice to have since it is so humid and the room was cleaned regularly. The breakfast had a pretty good amount of options and the cook was helpful & kind. The only things we had issues with were that the pool was not clean so we did not swim in it & sometimes the staff was not at the desk and would not come when the bell was rung. Important to keep in mind that we came during their off season so they are not super busy. Overall, a pretty good experience especially for the cheap price.

I like the location. I rented the room with 2 full beds and 2 twins. Our room is in bad need of renovation. Termites have had their fill in this room. Holes in the wood on the windows, a termite pile under one of the beds. Curtains did not close on the front side of the room. The curtain was hemmed at an angle so when you closed it there was a foot of window exposed. black algae in lower pool. I paid 2 extra nights in fees to have a third guest and EVERYDAY we only received 2 towels. BUT with all that said I still had a good time there. If your thinking it's a resort it's not. It's as close to living like a TICO as you can get and still have AC at night.

Rustic jungle stay
Definitely rustic with few extras but we had a beautiful ocean view that made up for it. If you want a resort, this is not for you. If you want to be in the jungle in a basic hotel, this is for you. No tv or phone in the room. Amazingly good restaurant open all day.

Best views, best food!
We struck gold with this hotel. Had a room with a balcony with most spectacular view of the ocean. Room was lovely as was the whole property. Food in the restaurant was amazing, we didn't even bother trying other restaurants in the area although there is a wide selection. Thank you!

This place is pure magic! A hidden away gem in the jungle. The pool is wonderful, and the staff were great. Tons of cute geckos, funny iguanas, and gorgeous birds everywhere. If you are looking for fancy, go elsewhere. If you are looking for a unique, fun, and comfortable home in the midst of the diverse flora and fauna of Manuel Antonio, look no further. Clean, friendly, and true to the spirit of Costa Rica. My only (small) issues were that there were no toiletries provided, as they said there would be (no biggie-I had my own), and it would've been great if there was a way to keep a tab at the bar/restaurant. We loved this stay so much! We will happily return! Pura vida! -Sarah & Scott

Nous avions réservé une chambre où nous étions supposés avoir une vue sur la jungle et on s'est retrouvés face à la rue (très passante et bruyante) avec seulement quelques arbres devant...Décevant,comme "vue sur la jungle". L'organisation et l'entretient des lieux laissaient à désirer.Nous étions censés avoir accès à un coffre fort mais il n'y avait pas de clé pour celui-ci. La clé de notre chambre rentrait mal dans la serrure,la douche était sale à notre arrivée et le wifi fonctionnait rarement. Il n'y a pas de plages à proximité comme il était indiqué,du moins rien qui se fait bien à pieds. Le déjeuner inclus,mais petites portions. Le restaurant sur place offre de bons plats mais ce n'est pas donné et il nous est arrivé d'attendre longtemps avant d'être servis alors qu'il n'y avait personne ou peu de gens. Bref. Pour le prix,un peu décevant.

AC broke on 2nd night, they moved us to another room where the breaker for the AC also broke, it was complete crap service. When I complained about the issue they simply said "there is nothing we can do about it". Would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Here’s an honest review. The pool was being serviced. That’s no ones fault things have to be repaired. We had the top rooms. Could see the ocean. Very nice. Property needs a little maintenance we were a party of 4 and we really enjoyed ourselves. Staff VERY nice and friendly. Restaurant food was great. Even if I don’t stay their again I will eat there

The property details advertised on expedia did not match the property. There is no plung pool for each room , no kitchen , barely any light in the rooms , My kids room did could not be locked so was very unsafe. No toiletries were provided . I requested for shampoo and the owner point blank said no. The rooms are very dated and the AC barely worked my room. There are too many steps to go the rooms and the description says its wheelchair accessible .. not sure if they plan to carry the guests upstairs . On seeing the condition of the hotel when I asked to move out the next day and requested that I be charged for 1 night stay instead of 2 nights , the owner refused. Please do not book here . We left the hotel in middle of night since it was so bad though they 'upgraded' us the 'queen rooms' from standard room. Lot of false advertising . I will be calling expedia to have them remove the false advertising from expedia website so that others don't get fooled like we did and pay ridiculous prices to book this hotel

The property is in a very noisy location. the pool was not clean so no one was using it and the entire property had a sewer like smell. the location is good and the staff were pleasant and helpful.
