The renovations they did are very nice but don’t seem to be quite finished and the furniture placement is a bit odd. You have trouble seeing the tv from the beds or the sofa. We enjoyed the breakfast. The neighborhood seemed to be sketchy. I did have to kill one cockroach.

This hotel doesn’t look like a Hyatt. The rooms are dirty, the hallway smells so bad. I talked to the front office guy and he was very nice and he gave me an upgrade but still old rooms. This is more like 1-2 star.

Staff was often not around for us to get assistance when we needed and were annoyed when we asked for anything like us being there was an inconvenience to them. Rooms were physically falling apart, gross conditions like water damage. This location does not represent the Hyatt name well; we’ve stayed at nicer motels. Also, this hotel is next to a convention center so it was loud late into the evening with music, etc. Also, there were a lot of limitations I.e. they wouldn’t change our sheets unless explicitly requested, they wouldn’t give us extra towels without doing a trade so we had to run back upstairs to get used towels to trade and they said we had to use our bath towels at the pool, no extras due to shortage. Gross, I don’t want to bathe and swim with the same towel. I hope Hyatt can get some training on hospitality to staff and invest some money to upgrade to the Hyatt standard.

The room had bed bugs!!!!! My pregnant sister woke up with bites all over from the bed bugs plus customer service was horrible. It took many attempts to ask for another room (we had to keep asking to get a different room) and didn’t even apologize for the issue. The worst hotel we have EVER stayed at.

The property needs renovations. -The bathroom was small, the door took most of the space and was worn, the hot water was not consistent; it was lukewarm on the colder side. The towel racks were rusted. The tiles were not the best. Not enough towels. - We had only 3 pillows for a king size bed that were flat once you lay on it. - You can hear other people from their rooms while walking the halls. - The couch was not comfortable and started going apart when we sat in it. - One of the lamps on the side of the bed did not work.

I had a horrible experience. It was a nightmare, And I am still going through it. My husband and I stayed here with our 8 month old and we had roaches in our room. It started off with a small one on the couch and 2 small ones in the bathroom. We complained to the staff they couldn't move us. By the end of the night it was clear the room was infested. It was one crawling over my husband's head. One on my fork and one next to my son's milk.. We couldn't take it. We called around in the middle of the night, while it was raining looking to go to another hotel. Nothing close was available. We had no choice but to stay. I couldn't sleep. The next day, very early in the morning I asked for the manager and was given an attitude. It's been almost 2 weeks and the manager has yet to call me back. I reached out to corporate. I still haven't received my refund. I'll never stay at another Hyatt. Ever. I'm shocked and disappointed.

My family & I travel to Houston frequently and this is our favorite hotel. It’s very close to the airport, & close to downtown & to the museums. It’s close to the interstate as well. The hotel itself is very clean. Staff is friendly & they even offer breakfast.
