I had a nice short stay here. It was a bit cold at night so need plenty of blankets. Also, was a bit hard to find in the Medina. but I enjoyed it overall.
The owners were gracious and wonderful. Hot water every day (not so at some other places I've stayed). Towel & toilet paper provided, bring your own soap. Area to hang dry clothes on roof. A bit tricky to find the first time, but after that no problem. 2 min walk to Bab R'cif & bus stop, 5 min walk to souk. Would stay here again.

CALME ET RESPECTUEUX
BON SERVICE EN GENERALE MAIS DEçU DU DECORS SUR PHOTO CELA PARAISSAIT MIEUX ET PLUS ACCUEILLANT BON SEJOUR LA-BAS AU CALME LE PERSONNEL REPOND AU QUESTION ET AIDE POUR LES BAGAGES IL NE VONT PAS DANS LES CHAMRES LE TEMPS DU SEJOUR ET LE PETIT DEJEUNE EST CONVENABLE MAIS LAISSE PERPLEXE AVEC UN CACAO AU FOURMILLE...

Si volviésemos NO repetiríamos

Typisch Marokkaans.
Gezellig, knus hotel midden in de medina.
Goed, vriendelijk, behulpzaam personeel.
Morocco is a very beautiful country and the people are even nicer and very welcoming. If u have not visited this part of the world then this MUST be ur next destination. After haggling the taxi fare to 120 dirham's(less than a tenner)we headed to our hotel in the old Madinah part of fez. The taxi driver knew exactly where it was even though it was confusing to say the least with the windeing cobbled alleys. Taxi driver pointed uphill. We were a little unnerved as it was late and dark but after a few minutes uphill walk we surprisingly managed to find our riad tuckedaway in a corner. We had not stayed in a road b4 so didn't know what to expect but we were disapointed. The rooms were small and dark and an unpleasant odour. After a lot of arguing we managed to get rooms without the terrible smell. We could not talk as we were repeatedly told it was disturbing the sleep of others even though it was only 9pm. The breakfast was a couple of pieces of bread and bits n pieces withtea and coffee. I wouldn't really call it breakfast. Apart from the hotel everything is beautiful. Once we found our way through the cobbled alleyways to the main Madinah we were very happy. Getting around in the city by taxi is cheap under 20 dirham for 90% of journeys(less than £2) but make SURE u only use metered taxis otherwise u will pay a LOT more. The old Madinah is full of nice n colourful bazaars. This is where the locals shop so prices are very reasonable. Conclusion always stay in a minimum of 3*

Sleepless night
The hotelroom was clean, but our airconditioning did not work. That was horrible, because it got about 40 degrees in Fes. Because of that, we did not sleep at all.
We also felt like the guy in charge was scamming us. For example: he offered us a meal for more then 120 per person. Which is ridicoulous because you can get a meal with drinks, dessert and all of that for a loooot less money, right outside the hotel. The tour was great, even though we had to wait for the tour guide for two hours.

Bed, sheets, pellows were dirty. The room were not newly decorated and furnished as described. No tv or cable channels. No toiletries in bathroom as described. No restaurant in the hotel as described as they make the food in the kitchen and then serve it on the intrance table. Next door workers start work at 8.00 am. In the first 2 days we were staying in a room where they gave us where they turned the air conditioning off from 10.30am to 5.30 pm.
then we were given another room in the second hotel riyad doha with ok a/c but nothing else. Infact i got more bites from bugs and flies (:
No window and no tv buy at least the toilet has a door.
the door of that room was broken and i fixed it with some screws. I was given a lock to lock the door when we go out but it was very weak i used to take my important things with me when i am out
My friend and I stayed at Riad Doha for 1 week. Being students, we did not have a very large budget for this holiday. However, the price we paid for the rooms was very reasonable considering what you get for it and the whole experience was better than we expected at first. We got a nice airconditioned room with a delicious breakfast each morning. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. They gave us information on nice trips to make within and outside of Fez. With the help of Youssef, we went to Meknes with the local train and to Chefchaouen by local bus. Also, we had a cooking lesson from Kaoutar, Riad Doha's cook, who taught us several delicious Moroccan dishes. All in all, Riad Doha and its staff made this a holiday to remember, I hope to return again soon and would recommand this Riad to everyone.
As you will know I have complained about Riad Doha. We stayed one night (we paid for 3nights). Our room was dark, dirty and the bathroom floor flooded from water dripping from the ceiling. The floors were very dirty and the bathroom was so bad that there was mould everywhere. The bed sheets were dirty. When I spoke with the manager he laughed at me and said "what do you expect". There was not a TV in the room, which they advertised. Overall, it was disgusting. It did not look like the hotel that was advertised on your site.
