When we first got into the room it was quite lovely... kind of reminded us of a small apartment. But then as we got settled in, there were ants everywhere around the baseboards and in the living area. They were also crawling all over the nightstands in the bedroom. When we asked the front desk what was going on/if they could do anything for us, they told us they knew it was a problem and probably due to the weather. You think you could have told us this when we were checking in?! Then, multiple electrical outlets in the unit did not work... we had to search around to find one that would work so we could change our phones! We then went downstairs (as it was my BF first time here) so I could show him the pool, game room, etc and there was a NAKED man... I mean, fully nude (not just cheeks) standing outside someone's room (whether his or someone else's I have no idea). He seemed high or drunk... didn't stick around to find out. We alerted the front desk and yes, they were "going to take care of it" but again, we were not compensation at all for any inconvenience during our stay. Needless to say we stayed here during their renovations, ants, naked people, etc and not one apology from the front staff or reimbursement for inconvenience. We would not recommend this hotel and/or stay here again! Just terrible.

Pros Pool was awesome. Hotel very nice and room layout was great/comfortable. Friendly staff Cons Door knob was not working for bathroom had to get maintenance to fix. Air conditioning takes a while to get ton front bedroom

The only problem I had was being charged a resort fee at check in. My experience is that these fees are usually known to us when we book through Expedia. I may have chosen a different hotel had I known a resort fee was going to be added at check in. There were similar places to stay that would have cost less.

Everything was nice and spacious, but I’m glad we had family staying in the room next to us! Seems like nothing worked so we were always sharing items. (Stove top, toaster, microwave, etc)

Overall we had an excellent stay. Our only critique was that the scent of the room was a little overpowering for one of us who has sensitivity to fragrances. It was clean, but a strong smell so we had to keep the doors open to help air it out.

Great place with great facilities…..however our room was near the elevator and the noise around the elevator was almost unbearable! We could hear everything.

The hotel security patrol the hallway listening in at the door so they can file a noise complaint to kick someone out of the room and building just to keep 250$ deposit with no guest complaints,warnings,smoking.It was only 4 people in my room.The hotel manager sided with the employee and never got our side and made false accusations with the police. I never in my life experience's this situation before I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Clean, professional staff, warm feeling good security, surreal & peaceful. The suite was outstanding the Christmas theme in every room of the suite made it feel like home. Awesome jacuzzi in our suite it was amazing. Thank Cove of Lake for a wonderful stay. Me & my family will definitely be back.
