"Hotel is in very nice and safe area. It's modern clean and staff where excellent. Breakfast was good. However the rooms are stuffy and I didn't like the fact that there is only a curtain separating the bed from the bathroom. I would stay again in Melrose arch but not this hotel "

"I booked two rooms at the Capital Hotel in Melrose for a business trip. Upon arrival, we were informed that there was no record of our booking, despite us having a confirmation for that same day. After presenting the confirmation, we were told that the booking had actually been made at the Capital Hotel in Sandton. We again showed our confirmation clearly stating Melrose. After some time, the manager came to assist the front desk. Only then were we informed that a group booking had extended their stay, and as a result, our reservation had been moved to the Sandton property without any prior notification. In over 30 years of business travel, I have never experienced anything like this. The lack of communication, poor handling of the situation, and overall unprofessional approach suggest that management is not adequately overseeing basic hospitality standards. To make matters worse, no refund, complimentary meal, or even a simple gesture of goodwill was offered to compensate for the inconvenience caused. A very disappointing and unacceptable experience."
