"Gorgeous grounds Unbeatable location close to village and shops and dining Lots of corners to sit and chill, and pools and great view It was very hard to find shade tho as when too windy the staff closes umbrellas Rooms could be bigger for sure but overall very nice (even tho basic toiletries, no slippers and a very old filter coffee machine — the key system also had some glitches and we were shut out of the room 3 times at least… The Luau show was outstanding and amazing food! Overall an amazing stay — I’d def go again. 🙌"

"We loved everything about our stay at the Honua Kai. The pools and hot tubs were all clean, and having four pools and multiple hot tubs meant it never felt too crowded. The beach access was amazing and offered great options for both swimming and snorkeling. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it if traveling with a group!"

"We love Papakea and have stayed many times, but this particular unit, F101, was not up to the standards of other units. While ocean front is nice, the inside needs a serious update. There are cracked tiles on the bathroom floor and the furniture in the living room is scratched up and not comfortable to sit on. The A/C unit is not strong enough to push air into the bedroom which was the hottest part of the unit. There are no extras in the unit, like beach chairs or boogie boards which other units have. The curtains in the living room look very dingy in appearance and they did not match the ones on the sliding glass door. Everything else about this resort is perfect."
