"I appreciated that the hotel offered complimentary self-service laundry facilities, which can be very helpful for travelers. Unfortunately, the experience became frustrating when the washing machine was not operating properly and I asked for assistance.
What disappointed me most was not the machine itself, but the response from management. When I approached the hotel for help, I was essentially told to “Google the solution” instead of being offered assistance, troubleshooting guidance, or support. Even if the laundry area is self-service, basic hospitality would suggest helping guests navigate an issue with an amenity provided by the hotel.
Problems can happen anywhere, and most guests understand that. What leaves a lasting impression is how staff and management respond when assistance is requested. In this case, the interaction felt dismissive and lacking in customer service professionalism.
I hope management takes this as constructive feedback and improves the level of guest support moving forward."
"The condo was very Beautiful and maintained. It’s right on the beach. Great snorkeling and the sunsets are amazing. You are close to town. I recommend if you want to sit on the beach to swing by Costco and pick up a couple chairs and umbrella. Also grocery shop at the Walmart or Costco (way cheaper )."
"Hot tub was broken and seems to have been for awhile, obviously this is an important feature to be missing. Some of the extras like chairs and umbrellas are not in great condition, although they were nice to have. The breakfast offerings were fine although I wouldn't call it a bed and breakfast. The kitchen was nice and the bathrooms and showers were good. Our room, the Hibiscus suite, was very nice with a comfy bed and pillows and a mini fridge. The major drawback of the suite is a bathroom isn't very close for use in middle of the night. Overall it's a nice place to stay, a solid 4 stars, but given the lack of a major feature, a hot tub, it lost another star."
"We stayed at the Hilton for three nights after initially staying in Kaanapali. We chose to stay here for the proximity to sites like the Road to Hana and the volcano. The property is currently undergoing construction to expand. We were initially placed in a room that overlooked the construction site, not what we were expecting on our relaxing vacation. We were able to switch rooms the next day and the staff there were wonderful to help facilitate that. The staff were all extremely kind, helpful and welcoming. The first room was very clean, but the shower in our second room had hair in the drain and on the shower handle. We did like the room itself and it was nice to have a kitchen but we felt the room was noisy and didn’t offer much privacy to our neighbors. The rest of the property was nicely maintained. Our two children loved the pool and the waterslide. However, the view of the ocean is lacking and you have to walk across the street for beach access. We did like the proximity to Kihei and Wailea. Overall, we left feeling a little underwhelmed with our stay."
"Very friendly front desk staff, free parking that’s adjacent to the rooms. The room was excellent with two full bathrooms and a full kitchen with everything you need. Nice full length balcony. Easy walk to beach and restaurants. Would stay again!"
"The Grand Wailea is more than grand! You will not regret going there, unless you are a constantly angry, miserable soul. Even then, I believe the Grand Wailea can sweep those miseries away. Is it expensive, yes. Is it worth it, absolutely."
