The hotel itself was fine, it just doesn’t have a noise policy and is in a very popular part of town so other guests were very loud until very late in the night. The room was comfortable and had hot water in the bathroom which was so nice. Good walking distance from many popular locations.

BEWARE!!! This is what happened to me: The hotel itself is OK, but they gave me a room that was an upgrade without telling me, and then when I checked out they tried to charge me a bunch of money. I REFUSED to pay the upgrade charges because I was never given a choice of rooms. Why didn't they just give me the room I booked??? The hotel was virtually empty. When I checked in they escorted me to a room and never told me they were upgrading my room. I was never given a choice., I assumed everything was OK until I checked out and they wanted more money for the upgrade. When I asked them why they upgraded my room without telling me, I got no reply and they just kind of stared at me. They seemed angry that I questioned it. I pushed the issue and they dropped the upgrade charges. I'm wondering if this is common practice during the low season when they have a lot of rooms available. The hotel is OK, and it's well situated in Thamel, but BEWARE of extra charges you don't expect. I don't believe that this incident was an accident. I actually liked this hotel until I checked out. I won't be staying there again. Also, on the maintenance side of things, I had to put the doorknob back on myself because it was falling off the door........

OK, so here's the deal. The hotel itself was fine, but BEWARE THE SCAM. The guys who run the hotel seem nice until you figure out the scam they are running. Here is what happens on check in. They escort you to your room and everything, including the stay, is fine. The hotel is nice enough and the area is right in the middle of Thamel, which is a good location. The surprise comes when you check out. They tell you that you stayed in an upgraded room (they upgraded you without telling you) and they try to charge you a bunch of money when you check out. I think they do this is the low season when lots of rooms are available. I asked them why they upgraded my room without telling me and they just stared at me and gave no explanation. It's a scam and they will do it if you let them. I pushed back and refused to pay the upgrade charges since they upgraded of their own choice, and they dropped it. I was never given a choice. Anyway, BEWARE!!!!! Scams abound in poor countries............

I apologies of your concern We are pleased to read that our piece of next Home really disappoint you just to let know now yo have booked the room which is sharing bathroom with single bed non AC but we have given room is with the Ac & standard room, still i apologies of that when we upgrade we should informed you regarding that they just did like when you came also receptionist they they informed you & upgrade the room for you they just believed that you will be fine & they just upgrade you without asking. we are really sorry to have this kind of mistake. please give us time to taking care of you next time in coming future. Come as a guest, leave as a friend.
Lovely hotel, the staff are genuinely welcoming and so friendly. You couldn't ask for better staff. The room was big, clean and the hot shower always worked (not always the case in Kathmandu). The location is also great, it's in the pedestrianised part of Thamel but is still quiet at night. I would certainly stay here again as it's a great hotel and location for the price.

Wouldn’t stay anywhere else
After being greeted with the warmest welcome I was pleased to see cleanliness and kindness everywhere. The owners where pleased to arranged anything I needed and made me feel safe and happy. There is no reason to stay anywhere else. Great price, great people.
