Pleasant stay for a last minute trip. Decent prices and convenient location. Awesome thing about this location is that it’s pet friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

With a name like that, I expected more! The pictures also did not match what I saw in person. Dark in the rooms. Limited light and most were broken. Smells horrible. Breakfast options were very limited. Needs to be remodeled and updated.

Very Disappointed
The pictures on the site are not accurate. The floor in the room was spotty and looked unclean. There was a note left under the door when I walked in stating that there would not be service available on the day after Thanksgiving, which in turn, there was no one to come and properly clean the room. The breakfast was a complete disappointment. Waffles, boiled eggs, a few bagels, and somewhat fresh fruit were the only items offered. Unfortunately, because it was a holiday weekend, there were no other rooms available to book, so I had to tough it out. I can say for sure that I will never book with this hotel again. If you are going to advertise as a boutique hotel, you should make sure that the rooms and services reflect that.

We needed a hotel for an out of town Vet visit in Houston. I did a lot of searching and we decided to go with the Palacio. We were not disappointed! The pet fee is extremely reasonable as it is a per night fee of $10, this was perfect as our puppy would only be 1 night at the hotel and then over night at the Vet, compared to other hotels this was atleast 1/5 of the fee. They also allow up to 2 pets per room and up to 150lbs! I am a Great dane breeder and let me tell you it is super hard to find a hotel to accommodate my giant breed! 10 stars just for that alone!!! Palacio is easy off the I10, there is plenty of parking, the dog park is a nice addition, not anything fancy but definitely a place for full vaxed dogs to have some off leash outside time. The lobby and common areas were clean, the staff was very friendly. We showed up to check in and they have a happy hour where you get 2 free beverages, so the hubby was extra happy to enjoy a nice cold beer after our long drive. The breakfast area was very clean, however my only note for improvement is the actual breakfast food, our first day the only protein available was hard boiled eggs, the second day they did have scrambled eggs, but the taste was off, I would have preferred a suasage or bacon option with the eggs, for those that love cereal, waffles and other carby breakfast it was perfect. But considering what some places have to offer for the complimentary breakfast this place would still come out on top.

Rooms are clean and the king bed was comfy. Like to towel policy of taking your used towels for clean towels if needed as this likely reduces washing of clean towels.

Above what they charge
Nice, simple hotel. Not a lot of frills but affordable, clean. Have to exchange towel’s daily with front desk.no daily housekeeping which I actually like. Has Directv in rooms with pretty much every channel. Beds were comfortable. Has small fridge & microwave as well.
