“It was altogether wonderful BUT we did not know that the camp, being inside the Lake Nakuru Park would mean paying a great deal more than the hotel rates - an extra £300, for the 2days. Your booking should warn people of this before they book the camp.”

“Visited Ashnil as part of a longer trip. The other Lodges have excellent dinner and lunch meals and service. Here, we were told on arrival that each sitting would cost us a small fortune for what turned out to be very mediocre meals. You are in the middle of nowhere, so paying for these meals left a bitter taste in the mouth for a one-night stay. Service was inferior, period. The bathrooms are horrible - see photos. “This is a camp so amenities are pretty basic. That is very understandable. If you’re a light sleeper, you might not find the area conducive for you as hippos could get loud at night. My biggest issue with this camp is that by default they would clean the tent and rearrange your stuff. I get that cleaning is essential but as someone who functions in a very specific manner, I’d hate to find out that my things have been rearranged.
