"beautiful views, excellent food, very kind staff. only complain is that i am sensitive to strong perfumes and the sheets have a lot of perfume on them, but most people don't mind that. i had a wonderful time staying here otherwise. the private infinity pool on the balcony is a wonderful touch, just be sure not to overfill it as it will drain onto the people's balcony below yours, oops!"

"This hotel is a in a fantastic location and has a lot going for it. Pity the maintenance is not fully up to date for a 20 plus year old hotel. The staff are great and super helpful. The view and hot springs are wonderful and super

. On a side note, don’t bother to ask for any specific or special requests as they don’t follow up. This was the second time we stayed in this hotel and we confirmed our request on our last stay 4 weeks ago."

"This is the most amazing hotel I’ve ever been to. With the exception of the pool. They have a great opportunity to redo the pool as an outdoor cliffside pool with amazing views. They missed the boat on that one. But the rest of the property is 10 out of 5 stars. Absolutely beautiful. Caution: for elderly that don’t like stairs. There are lots of stairs."

"I needed an escape from the humidity of Ubud, and found it. This place is a little oasis nestled between the mountains and a lake. I thoroughly enjoyed the hot springs (pool) and the company of guests and management. I didn't need to leave my oasis, they also served delicious food. You have to try the fish with Kitamani sauce. 3 days of bliss."

"The hotel is great strictly because of the views it affords of the Gunung Batur caldera, and as a basis for the sunrise hiking expedition to the volcano. The room is reasonably good, but it tends to be expensive as value for money. Service is competent but not all that great, and the buffet food at the restaurant is not recommended (a la carte is better), which is a bit of an issue since there are not that many dining choices in the area."
