"This was one of the more memorable experiences and stays I've ever had - the loveliest even. Everything from the decor to the hospitality of the entire staff to the food to the meditation bath was a testament to intentionality. The attention to detail and storytelling of the omakase dinner at the restaurant was my absolute favorite part of our entire stay. Can't wait to return, hopefully for many years to come! "

GLAMDAYSTYLE HOTEL&RESORT KYU-KARUIZAWA
10/10 Excellent
"Absolutely stunning hotel and the service was top notch. We came here to get away from Tokyo this is our first visit to this area and this hotel was amazing! We were greeted immediately and checked in, the staff also speak English and were very nice to us. They have a ton of items you can rent from board games to flat irons. The rooms are huge, the showers are amazing. We didn’t get to try the onsen this time but we will definitely be back.
This hotel is right on a shopping street where you can shop for various items food and it’s even close to a lit Karuizawa sign area you can take photos this time of year. If you are looking for something away from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo stay here. We did Hakone 3 times before we found this area and 100% would stay here over Hakone. "

"What a great hotel! Clean comfortable rooms in a lovely setting, an easy walk to shops and restaurants. We especially appreciated the welcoming, friendly staff who spoke excellent English. The bar was cozy and featured amazing cocktails - the gin & tonic with "forest" syrup was my favorite (so much so that I bought a bottle of the syrup to bring home). Would absolutely recommend this hotel, and hope to visit again someday!"
"Good price for a clean hotel that was near the train station and the outlet mall. Pretty good breakfast included. Staff are very friendly and helpful. "
"The hotel/guesthouse is quite some distance from the central parts of Karuizawa. You would definitely need a car if staying here. Whilst newly renovated, the property feels like a poorly designed mixture of English and Japanese concepts that don’t really work well together. I’m confident there are better value for money options in Karuizawa."
