"A quiet hotel with a nice onsen on the balcony overlooking the river. Simple alkaline waters, not too hot, elaborate dinners and breakfast with nice sea and river fish dishes, good wifi. Comfortable rooms in a modern building. "

"We had a very good night Sansuikan Kawayu Matsuya. They share hot springs and the restaurant with a nearby hotel. Hot springs are the absolute standout: fantastic! Food is good and plentiful. Our room had a brilliant view. All the rest is okay, although the exterior of the building is not nice."

"Special place traditional Japanese style cabin like but on the coast. We had an amazing stay, on a walk to get some dinner supplies at a market we were offered to come celebrate a holiday with community members, a truly special experience. Check in and out with lock box very convenient, be careful driving in as the streets are narrow and be respectful :D"

"It’s a good experience with traditional Japanese style room. Although it’s very timid for us to use the public bath the first time, but once you get used to it. It’s quite a nice experience with the onsen. There is no private shower room by the way. In case anyone wonder. "

"Whole hotel looks like it was good 20 years ago and someone just forgot to do anything with it since. We booked a non smoking room but when we entered the room the smoke was so heavy I could taste it and there were burn marks all over the carpet. We asked to be moved and got a new room which smellt like a mixture of smoke and peppermint airfreshener to hide it. At least in
this room it was still manageable.
Stains in the carpet but bedlinnen and bathroom were clean.
Personell was friendly...

"Given these are hostel prices the room I had was marvellous. A rural location but the bus stops were outside. I had a car which made the visit easier for me as I had the freedom to get around as I chose. Beautiful area, a great hostel with gorgeous scenery.
The onset was lovely and clean, and the only thing that made it feel hostel like was that the interior decor was probably tired, however, coming from the UK, that is par for the course in this country and the hostel was more than tolerable for the price and facilities."
"Lovely hotel for after your hikes. The onsens were nice. The temperature was perfect for me. It is a dated hotel but i think the amenities were still good. You also get a free bath salt for completing 3 of the onsens. The staff were very nice and accommodating. You can leave your luggage even before check in and I was able to access the rooftop or mountain observatory. The buffet dinner and breakfast has a lot of variety so I think everyone has something for them there"
"We were warmly welcomed to Manseirou after 4 days of hiking the Kumano Kodō. The hotel was clean and peaceful and the onsen was perfect for soaking away the soreness from the hike. We had an excellent breakfast at the hotel and a nice view of the harbor."
"I had a really nice stay at the Fairfield. The staff there was very very helpful. The room was spacious, well maintained and had a small hot pot to geat water for coffee, tea or miso soup.
You do not need soap or shampoo hecause it provided in the shower.
There are a couple of restaurants nearby but they close around 8pm plan to go to the market which is a little over a mile away. Theres a local bus that runs almost every hour for 200¥ one way.
