Explore scenic Lake Winnipesaukee, play pinball in a classic arcade and see a vintage mill in this lakeside New Hampshire town.

Experience New England charm at its best in Laconia, New Hampshire. The town mixes quaint, small-town atmosphere with beautiful scenery and a calendar full of events throughout the year. Spend the day exploring Lake Winnipesaukee or learn about the area’s history in one of its many museums.

Find Laconia in the heart of the state’s Lakes Region, sandwiched between Lake Winnipesaukee and Winnisquam Lake. Lake Winnipesaukee is the largest lake in New Hampshire. Discover miles of shoreline, boat-friendly waters and over 250 islands sprinkled across the lake. Go fishing for trout, salmon, whitefish, bass and more in Winnisquam Lake.

See an important piece of the town’s history at Endicott Rock. The state park, located on the shore of Lake Winnipesaukee, features a large rock from the lake that was inscribed by surveyors for the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1652.

Relax on the sandy shores of Lake Winnipesaukee at Weirs Beach. Stroll along the boardwalk and out onto Winnipesaukee Pier. Hop aboard the ship MS Mount Washington for a scenic cruise around the lake.

Stop at the Belknap Mill Museum, a historic textile mill in the center of town. In the Hosiery Museum, learn about the mill and the people who worked there. In the Power House, see exhibits about the discovery and use of hydroelectric power.

Play video games, pinball, miniature golf and more at Funspot Family Entertainment Center, which was once billed the "Largest Arcade in the World" by Guinness World Records. Go up to the third floor, where the American Classic Arcade Museum showcases vintage arcade and pinball machines. Learn about the history of the area at the Lake Winnipesaukee Museum, which is also located on the Funspot site.

Time your visit to coincide with one of the many annual events that draw crowds to Laconia every year. Come for Laconia Motorcycle Week in June, the Laconia World Championship Sled Dog Derby in winter or the Pumpkin Festival in October.
