Pros: great location right on promenade close to tram and bus stops; friendly staff; good affordability Cons: some room fixtures and fittings need replacement; lounge often unavailable; difficult to get hold of staff There is a Coop nearby, as well as the unbeatable Nelly’s Chippy. When you did see them, John and David were friendly and helpful. Overall, I would recommend.

We had to clean the room prior to settling in. The room was filthy and we needed to purchase cleaning products to bring the room up to cleanliness standard The staff where never about and we got 1 towel change in 8 days and we had to chase the owner for this .

The room looked nothing like the photos, broken glass in the fire door, handle to room loose, wires all over, some sockets not working. The only reasons, why we stayed, was because we managed to park outside and it was near the event, we were attending. On a positive note the bed was spotless and comfortable. It looked like the owners were trying to modernise.

The people who ran it were nice and friendly however the bedrooms need a refurbishing need new bedding and pillows a they were in poor and unhygienic condition they need more cleaners they need to dust lamp shades need to get shower heads need to stock up on bleach and dettol wipes curtains and windows need fixed fire hazard There needs to be security on door ie key or pin code lock outside and inside the building as anyone can get in or out No one there for check out had to leave keys at closed reception Bar was closed on Sunday Bar was decent and affordable The reception was clean and decent More attention to cleaniless and up keep to beds and bed linen it seems it could be a decent lively hotel

I inspected the room and then left. The reviews were indeed correct regarding bed bugs. To my surprise the place had not been hovered in weeks. The dust was terrible and bathroom was smelly. It cost me £200 to book another hotel. I am still waiting Expedia providing a refund. Avoid if I were you

Utterly disgraceful

The reception we got was very rude told us our key was in the room never told us what room we were staying in, went to the room the radiator was showing live wires and falling off the wall, shelf where kettle was absolutely dirty, bathroom room was absolutely filthy the bed sheet had all urine stains on it would not stop here again, had no breakfast in the morning you were told to go the cafe around the corner, Asked to speak to the manager he was never there reception was never open
