โStaying in a hotel in the mountains above Chamonix, accessible only by a quaint train (30 minutes) where you can go on incredible hikes or just relax on the patio and stare at the glorious mountains... well, it doesn't get better than that. Everyone on the staff was attentive and nice, and the family room was perfect for my husband, myself, and our teenage daughter (who got her own space). We loved it!!โ
โWe were honeymooning for 5 days and we had the most incredible experience. Such friendly and hospitable staff, beautiful food, the best breakfast buffet Iโve seen and a truly beautiful hotel and location with great access to local village, town and the mountains. Would highly recommend and cannot wait to visit again.โ
โThe hosts were fantastic. The place was super cute and well designed/mix of antique and modern. We felt at home there. Breakfast has freshly pressed orange juice and local cheese! The host even accommodated staying an extra night when my husband was not feeling well from the hike we had done. โ
โFour years ago, we stayed at the Hotel Les Grands Montets as part of our Tour du Mont Blanc ten-day trek. We had two nights there as we prepared for our last two legs of hiking on our trek. Unfortunately, poor weather did not permit us to take the preferred route to the Lac Blanc -- wind and precipitation made that leg too dangerous. We did an alternate route. We decided to complete the Lac Blanc section one day.
This year, we completed that leg of the trip under excellent weather...
